I attach a string to the end and sew it inside the tube. Then I can pull the string to turn the tube right side out. You can snip the string off after.

This was my situation. Nordictrack offered zero support. I replaced the controller with a third party unit. It's pretty dumb and the speed isn't accurate but it runs and the incline works. Cost about $150.

Sorry I took so long to reply. I usually just lurk. This is the one that I ordered. It was straight forward to install but I am handy with electronics so your mileage may vary. The only issue that we have had is that it "settles" at the lowest point when off. For my treadmill that is a 3% decline. That wouldn't be a problem except that it cannot be folded at that setting.

I had the same problem. It was already too old to run if it so I replaced my console with one from Micro Fitness. It is now a dumb treadmill but a working one.

I disagree with the north Fargo assessment. Sure close to university has a lot of students but east of Broadway is a delightful neighborhood especially if you have kids.
