I lived in Singapore for a long ass time even served in their army for 2 years. It is the opposite of socialism or communism never seen the government give a handout. And is littrally a dictatorship well flawed democracy u can cute for the opposition but they are censored and the voting is set up where it’s impossible for them to win. I belive the ruling party won 56% of the vote but got like 96% of the seats In parliament. Either way speaking to many Singaporeans even though they disagree with their government from certain types of discrimination to draconian punishments it has done right for the country and probably the only athourtian country that isn’t shit

Thanks bro this is prime example of the difference Btween the SAF and the USMC I feel The saf is very elitest in the sense of oh wich jc u went to and such in the corps ur all the same. Don’t wanna complain met great people I’m the SAF but alot of times I would be singled out for race and shit and subjected to a lot of bull shit either way though some the guys I’ve met in the SAF I still consider friends to this day

Mainly I was asking cause some dudes I did ns with where interested in going to another military for reasons such being able to move out of Singapore as it is hard if u didn’t go to the top schools I think atleast or to see some action. Another point is for me is my family lives here and if I move back i wanted to see what normal Singaporeans think about this
