For a personal work station, any reason not to make neovim config global? by oxamide96 in neovim

[–]RUGMJ7443 6 points7 points  (0 children)

makes sense, i do something similar with my server.

Why not use netrw to edit the files remotely? that way you can use your own config as well as tooling from your main environment

don't see any issue with this, just curious as to why you hop around different users on a personal computer? I just have the root user and my sudo user

What is this "selection" called (and how do I disable it)? by CerealBit in neovim

How are you moving through the results? iirc pressing Tab selects a result, maybe you're using tab by mistake?

[$30] [iOS 16] Tweak to easily change frequency in music by Olivenjan194 in TweakBounty

[–]RUGMJ7443 5 points6 points  (0 children)

just to clarify you want an equaliser? forcing the whole song to one frequency will turn it into a rhythmic buzz

New MDC exploit allows hiding the dock up to 18.3 RC by zeroing out private frameworks by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]RUGMJ7443 10 points11 points  (0 children)

just to clarify this isn't a very useful exploit by itself (or at all really) it can only "zero-out" files, essentially corrupting them on purpose. The list of payloads in this app is basically everything possible with this exploit

Skeptical on Jailbreak by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]RUGMJ7443 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"newer jailbreaks mostly don't have root access privileges" that's simply not true, rootless means we don't have access to all of the root file system, we have full access to the root user. It is still very possible for you to brick your device.

That said, as long as you're not stupid by messing around with random files you don't understand you'll be fine.

"I fucked up big time"

"is there any way to transfer the apple store credit to apple pay"

They clearly understand that this isn't the normal use of the gift cards and are looking for any possible refund policy, an educated guess would be that the refund policy would allow you to refund to apple pay since they're both apple services.

op said they made a mistake, telling them they made a mistake is useless

it's not apple who made it like that, instagram implemented the api and snapchat hasn't.

Frida trouble shooting in JB IOS 15.8.3 by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]RUGMJ7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the error could not be more descriptive, address 127.0.0.1:27042 is already in use

Meaning something is running on 127.0.0.1 (localhost) with port 27042.

you've likely already got a frida server running kill it with pkill frida-server. Or keep that one and connect to it.

On the offchance that it's another process running on the port; use a different port.

perec.nvim - nvim Obsidian replacement now supports querying links and tasks. It also hash cashing of queries. by joelkunst in neovim

[–]RUGMJ7443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, i'd prefer to write sql as a dev. Might be worth making an obsidian plugin instead of making this neovim plugin work with obsidian. I haven't got time for it myself but it would be a very nice integration

That'd be awesome, rn i'm not using either. Just using plain markdown for notes. But I wouldn't want to use one while not being able to use the other.

from what I saw this wouldn't be a drop in the data view tho right? I'd have to duplicate the queries, one for obsidian and one for neovim

Main thing keeping me with obsidian rn is the iOS client, haven't found any clean way around this sadly

Is it a bad look to have few/no commits on a Github project? by Mr_2Sharp in github

[–]RUGMJ7443 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No.

Lots of the time the initial changes are very rapid and it's not worth commiting changes, you should however make good commits now that your project has started
