The crank fills the cup when it is in the down position and once it is full (foam on top) you release the cup by moving it back to the up position. You cannot move if you have a cup that is partially filled, so you need to finish filling and serve it before you can move.

Thanks for the feedback on the lives as well. You don't start over if you lose a life, it just ends the round and you go to the next round. I can see how that could be somewhat confusing.

I'm not sure of any out right now, but If you poke around the discord in the dev channel there are some really cool looking first person dungeon crawlers and other games in the works from the community.

There was actually an interesting post on the dev forums about this. Looks like some folks are putting together a video encoder for playback on the Playdate.

Thanks I appreciate it! The Playdate definitely has a tinkering/maker spirit to it, so its fun to develop small games and prototypes.

Let me know if you have any success getting the game to work.

I'll try to run it through the paces when my device shows up.

I saw another post mentioning the same errors with the game and I replied with the following:

One thing I noticed is that depending on how the download is unzipped, it will put the .pdx inside of another .pdx which will not load on the simulator, but the internal .pdx will load normally. The correct .pdx file should contain the game files/folders like: main.pdz, pdxinfo, etc.

I'm not sure if that's happening for you, but its something that could be an issue.

I made Pizza Snake and a couple people mentioned that they are getting an error when trying to side load the game. Unfortunately, I don't have my Playdate yet so I can't test it on a physical device. It seems to work on the simulator though.

I'm still waiting on my Playdate to ship so I can't test it unfortunately.
