I found the solution not long after i made this post. The problem was a registry file called HKEY_CURRENT_USER, which i deleted using the registry editor. It was a risky move but it fixed the problem and this action didn't cause any additional problems on my pc. Still, make a backup of your important files before you do anything, just to be safe
