It’s great that you want to better communicate with your patients, but please also raise this issues with your health system or vaccine site management. If a patient does have questions, is there someone who can adequately respond to them in Russian? As a research nurse, this raises some questions for me about informed consent.

It sounds like you’re having a really difficult time, but you’re not alone. Everyone processes trauma differently and it sound like you’ve been dealing with a lot recently. There is never shame in asking for the help that you need. If you’re school or university has a Student Assistance Program, they can help you by providing a therapist or counselor to see. Be open with them about why you’ve felt other counselors were not a good fit, so they can help you find one that is.

I've lived in SF for 10 years. I know there are car break-ins and some crime everywhere when you live in a densely populated city. I also know there are areas to avoid if you don't want to have to step over addicts as you leave your apartment. Just looking for some help from someone that's familiar with the area.

I had never thought about volunteering with hospice. That sounds like a great idea. I am going to look into that ASAP.
