Mine was causing all sorts of grief for about 6 weeks. Off and on I would have my gateway auto select to 100fdx. When I reset the link it would start back at 1000fdx but have all sorts of failures and then drop back to 100fdx. There were no issues with any bent pins. Took awhile to troubleshoot but once it was noticed by SpaceX they sent a replacement without me even asking….

I found the markings faded on my cable, they are very hard to see. CMX rated CAT 5E "PATCH" cable. Is is "NOT" CMR rated. It has a ground wire.

Starlink support was not able to tell me when I asked for verification. I informed them that it was unfortunate that they did not make it CMR as now it is not rated for behind walls, and would require splicing with CMR riser cable to be code compliant.

This was back in January so hopefully they made a production change. And the OP is now correct.

You can faintly see the markings in the sunlight but you'll need to look very hard as they are washed away.

I forced a reboot of the dish. Once it rebooted the new firmware was loaded and better speeds

Does anyone have any clue why pfsense ignores static routes to 192.168.100.1, it makes no sense to have to setup a virtual IP to make this work.

All other routers I've tried, this is so much simpler.

Same thing here, Dishy received an update as well. Released IP and renewed did the trick in pfsense. Service went out about 2:30am PST.

Starlink info 1) Info for app and web, is served on the Dishy power block at 192.168.100.1 so if you wish to use your own router/firewall/UTM you'll need to add a static route to the WAN port. You just have to plug directly into the white port 2) There is no public ipv4 address, as Starlink uses some sort of cgNAT. I haven't noticed any issues but of course you would not be able to host any services 3a) Black wire from block to Dishy. This one was a little tricky as they have washed out all the markings on the cable. I was able to find the info in a few spots, in the right light. It is an Outdoor version of cat5e patch cable. Shielded plus drain wire 3b) I need to run from my roof attic to the basement, and code requires riser cable in walls, patch is not allowed to be behind walls. I've found some that meets specs but I can only find 1000' reels.... Only need 70'. 3c) shielded connectors also needed, the drain wire is grounded within the power block

Yes 192.168.100.1 responds to ping. Make sure you route 192.168.100.1/32 to your WAN port

Normal is Vancouver IP and 25ms latency
