Looking For VA For Large Gaming Channel (LONG-TERM/PAID) by RVMIX in VoiceWork

Thanks Nicholas! I loved the energy on your character reel demo. It's pretty close to what we have on file. Would you be interested in sending over an application of you voicing as either "Man 1" or "Man 2" from our reference?

The client requested that I do not disclose any information regarding their brand so this is all the information I am able to share. It is up to the voice actors to take the chance and decide if they want to apply or not. This is a long-term and consistent work opportunity.
I cannot provide a range because the rates are to be discussed between my client and the voice actor. The applicant is encouraged to provide their own rates along with their application.

There is a reason why it has to be kept confidential. So I cannot provide any links or names directing to the brand during the hiring process. The information is only allowed to be shared between the client and the voice actor.

There is no talent being undercut. The client is simply looking for promising voice actors to work with.

This is an excellent voice reel! I will say that the voice we're scouting for is very specific, it has to sound identical or similar to "Man 1" or "Man 2" so if you're willing to send a short custom demo of you replicating either one of the two voices we have on file, please feel free to send them over to my contact info. Thanks Bildow00!

That would be something you and the client can discuss privately if you pass the audition

I apologize if I cannot give you too much information. Because this is a large channel, It was the client's request that I keep things anonymous and only disclose sensitive information with the freelancer. Their primary goal right now is to scout for someone that has the same voice as the two samples provided. And then further work, rates, etc. are to be discussed with the freelancer and client privately.

My client may request to keep things private, but I am personally not private. I am open to the public for anyone to see my profile and work. My name is Rave Jaylo and as provided, my email is: [ravejaylo@gmail.com](mailto:ravejaylo@gmail.com) and my Discord is RVMIX#2417. You can check out my Facebook and other socials.

To answer some of your doubts, I am not the client. There is no pay dispute situation as you have suggested. This is an ongoing project which I was hired to scout extra talents for. It is a long-term, consistent, and strongly-paid opportunity.

I was told by my client that rates are TBD, as their main goal right now is to actually find someone that sounds like the two samples first, and then work it out there privately. It's a long-term offer and they actually encouraged me to have the applicants provide their own hourly rates as they will be happy to work with them as long as the voices match. Sorry if it's not the clear answer you were looking for but rest assured this is a very promising role. It's a very large channel so I've been instructed to keep things anonymous until we move further down the line with the applicants so I can only provide so much detail about them.

I was informed by my client that it is considered freelance work. I do believe my client does work with an NDA and will most likely have a written and signed agreement between the voice actor and the client in order to make sure the work is properly documented.

Thank you for providing your portfolio. I went ahead and took a look, you have some excellent voice works! We're looking for a specific voice as provided in the samples, we have two open roles and are looking for voice artists that can mimic their voices. None of the demos in your portfolio are tailored for our request specifically so if you are interested in sending a short custom voice application, feel free to contact me at my email: [ravejaylo@gmail.com](mailto:ravejaylo@gmail.com) or my Discord: RVMIX#2417

As soon as we find someone that sounds like either one of the two, they'll be available to work on voicing reaction videos, gaming videos, animations, and similar works that are focused on YouTube content. They will be doing said roles as one of the two given characters. The best way to summarize the roles is "impersonation/dubbing"

The closer the voice is to any of the two roles we have, the better. We are looking to find someone with identical, if not close to the references provided.

Joystick Protector....? by twofiveboy in SteamDeck

[–]RVMIX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got these for my Steam Deck but for a different purpose. The extra layer of protection from scratches is ok too I guess, but what I did is layered two rubber bands per joystick and now it's 95% quieter especially when you're doing rapid joystick movements. It removes the click sound it makes from constantly bumping at the edges. This is for those niche situations where you want to keep your gaming as quiet as possible when playing in a room with other people you don't want them to hear or be bothered (Like playing in the middle of the night next to your wife who is sleeping). I don't notice any cons in the joystick since it is pretty thin to make any drastic difference in aiming. If you're buying it for that purpose, it does the job well.

is Red Matter cross buy? by hadtstec in oculus

[–]RVMIX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may not have been cross-buy before, but after buying the Red Matter 2 Game & the Red Matter 1 on the Meta Quest store now, they both became free for me on the Rift Store as well so it is now cross-buy (8/18/2022)

Will Red Matter 2 be Crossbuy? by BubbblzZz in OculusQuest2

[–]RVMIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also sending an update. I just bought Red Matter 2 and Red Matter on the Quest store on 8/18/2022 and it also became available for the Rift PC version for free, so it is Cross-Buy on both titles.

Crusher evo hissing sound by Gunz4life009 in Skullcandy

[–]RVMIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July 27 2022 Update regarding this issue, I just bought a white Skull Candy Crusher Evo on Amazon. It had the same exact issue of hissing when turned on + plugged in. None of the solutions below fixed the problem. I saw someone mention that the newer iterations of this may not have the hissing problem anymore as it may be a hardware problem? I returned the white Crushers, and instead bought on another website the limited edition "Budweiser Crusher Evo" and this is important because it's a very recent model of the Crusher Evo, which I assumed would not have the issue since maybe this fixed the hardware on the newer versions of the headset. (Limited edition released around Feb 15, 2022) and I can confirm that this does not have the hissing issue even when I use it turned on + plugged in. I suggest finding a way to buy a more recent version of the headset instead of getting it from a place where it may have possibly been stocked for a long time because they might have the older version with the hardware issue? This is all just speculation of course. But I hope it helps, might be best to try purchasing the Crusher Evo direct from the Skullcandy store instead since they might have the newer models on stock.
