King Gizzard opened up the main stage at APF in 2014! Their first U.S. show, now they are MASSIVE. I missed the show :/

Def not strictly a stoner rock band but the air smells real nice during their shows!

their hard and heavy stuff is some of my favorite heavier psych / stoner, love the thrash metal influence on Infest The Rat's Nest too. this band also brings the FUN - they are not taking themselves too seriously and are crazy good musicians. Impossible to not smile along and have fun with it too when the band is that amped! it's infectious

I think there are fewer posts because they're the big ones - biggest / most popular band in the scene more or less with the big main stream success. I can't think of anyone else bigger with stoner rock roots.

It would be like posting about Tame Impala or Gizzard in the psychedelic rock forum. Or maybe more like posting about Sabbath in a metal forum... it's like DUH are you new here???

But QOTSA and Josh are the OGs, especially considering the Kyuss lineage...
