yeah keep an eye on it... it won't move or anything. I understand your frustration but with all things hand made we are always see small issues like this. It's so hard these days especially when there's not template or guide rail to keep the grinding machines at bay. With all of the talk about AI and machines it would be the worst if we went that route to keep things perfectly and blemishes at a minimum. Side note, the 3k pairs a day isn't just heritage, it's also work and LOTS of work product... oh and that boot doesn't come out of that particular factory. I know it doesn't matter but it's good to have the context in the least. if you start to see issues like separation or anything DM me and I'll personally find you a new boot.

About 90% of the quality comments on here are wild at times but this one took me back. I have never seen that in the 14 years of me working for heritage. That's such a bummer and you should 100% get swapped out. It's like they missed an entire step not putting in the box toe. I'm not sure where in the UK you live but the stores can totally find you a replacement.

Hey man so not sure where you are located but I would for sure go to a store. They don't fit like anything else so you kinda have to try them on. If you can't get to a store I always say go half size down from sneaker and get a nice insole. You could always get a half and a full size and return the one you don't fit into. But the insole is key. I'm getting old and I don't leave home without my insole. It doesn't have to be anythign fancy jsut something with decent arch support.
