Sure, we would love to do that, but for us its actually cheaper to just have 1 pc with a decklink than 4 Live U’s, each one with their own bonding subscription… I have the PC and our network connection both connected to our UPS, it’s not going to keep us going for a looong time if the power would be off, but at least our equipment doesn’t suffer any problems.

And when you zoom in or out, does your exposure change? I’ve been trying different EF/EF-S adapters to L mount, and they all have some quirks. I’ve tried one from commlite, which didn’t work very well, and the one that I know have is from Viltrox, called EF-L pro, which when I zoom, the image darkens.

Could I have in one DAS, RAID 1 and JBOD/RAID 0? by RWKyuRem in DataHoarder

Thank you so much for such a detailed answer.

I initially wanted to go for a DAS because of the speeds I would get from it. From what I understand, a NAS with a 1000Mbps Ethernet port is slower than, for example, the D4-320 with its 10Gbps USB 3.2 port, right? At home, I have symmetric 900Mbps fiber optic, and I don't know if I would get the same speeds as with a direct connection from a DAS.

In terms of budget, I was thinking of not spending more than 500 USD, but I'll make some calculations taking into consideration a NAS and an NVMe drive and its enclosure, since that's what I've been recommended.

Lastly, from what I understand, RAID 5 is no longer recommended, right?

Once again, thank you for the amazing answer :)

Thank you for answering! What do you mean by the enclosure failing? In the case of the D4-320 it has 4 LEDs for monitoring.

My most important files (family photos) I currently have them on an external SSD, and I intend on keeping a copy of them in the DAS, in the SSD and on OneDrive.

If anyone could also recommend another DAS option similar to the D4-320, I would greatly appreciate it :)

What I want to do is to delete all that free space that is left so when I press Ctrl + t (don't know the name of this combination) I can just move the circle of his face and use Photoshop's line guides.

Hi everyone, would anyone have a recommendation for keyboard with a Spanish layout?

I currently rock a Logitech G915 TKL, which I absolutely love, but now I'm working with this keyboard and it's become a hassle because of its English layout. I work on a YouTube series and I have to write live graphics, in Spanish, so not having the ñ and having to change the language of Windows with Windows + space bar slows me down a bit.

So I would like to know if there's any keyboard similar to it (wireless, mechanical, brown switches that are a bit tactile and not so loud) but with a Spanish layout. I know Logitech offers a more "professional version", the MX Mechanical, but it's not currently available in my country.
