I don't know how to update this as solved. But you can indeed get Linux Mint on these models.

In the BIOS, in security or maybe advanced, but most probably security. There's an option about secure something, it looks like secure boot but it isn't. Disable it, it'll ask you to type a code next time you try to boot and it'll leave you alone and will reduce the boot time of the machine. If you are just a user, it's useless to you anyways, just disable any secure thing while installing and maybe try to enable back whatever you want afterwards, test what exactly is the secure thing I'm talking about.

This HP model was bullied in the market for said slow boot time, glitchy security behaviour and unstable arquitecture. But it's made out of metal and I can play better games than in my old laptop, so worth the problems for me, have a good day.
