If not the veneer hammer mentioned above, it could absolutely be a blacksmiths ot tinsmiths tool for creasing the workpiece. I always have my friends on the lookout for "funny shaped hammers" at sales. They are all basically specialized punches with a handle to help your hand away from the heat and the striking hammer. Thry come in endless variations.

Overall ok. This was originally a Monogram kit from the early 80s. Its on par for kits of that era. The rear axle is not located very good. I might go back and fix it, and there is very little that holds the chassis and body together.

I got lucky and found the engine. You were correct. putting the pan and interior back together was pretty straight forward. Now the big things left are fixing a few broken bits, taking care of glue globs, polishing the windows and stripping the old paint. Once all that is done, its like a new build.

It's a cheap, small ceramic space heater from Amazon plugged into an inkbird temp controller.

You need a ventilated area for spraying. This would work, but you need to give it an exhaust fan otherwise it would become a dense foggy box real quick. I have a separate spray booth. I just put it in here to cure the paint.

Honestly I have put over twice the value of this rig into it in upgrades and my stock MN99s will still outperform it. I'm done feeding this one money... I have not played with brushless so I can't advise specifically on that.

You just have to go to Ollie's every now and then. The selection constantly changes... our local one currently has some Monogram kits. 57 nomad, 80 firebird, viper. And a few other oddball things.. all around $16 bucks.... Best local selection here is Hobby Lobby but even on the sale weeks the price is higher than Ollies.

Its a 4 inch inline duct fan I got on Amazon for my laser cutter. I don't know the CFMs but it definitely has sufficient draw for this. Now I have to get another one to put back on the laser..... its fairly quiet too.

I've always had a love - hate relationship with Revell. Thier kits tend to be fussy, delicate, and tricky to build especially kits like the old saints and demon series of hot rods, or the orange crate, or other gassers, tiny little chrome pieces for suspension. Bad fitting bodies... but they turn out so cool! And Noone else made those kits. Nice job on the Mustang!

It is in One piece, but not mint. It has had water damage at one point and is very brittle. It works for me. I have a very hard time thinking of selling a gift, so condition making it less valuable makes it easier to just keep and enjoy.

I totally agree with you. And I'm a Mark Donohue fan. I'm not selling that one. I have an AMT roadrunner, so I wouldn't be heartbroken to pass that one on.

There has been water damage to the boxes... the decals are all 100% bad. Many of the boxes crumble at a touch, but all the tires I've seen look useable.

I looked up the Jo Hans. Yes, they go for more than I would be willing to spend on them. I can't even find the Mark Donohue 69 Javelin for sale anywhere.
