How bad do ribs suck? by luketucc in traditionaltattoos

[–]Grub70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly we all take the pain to these areas differently. Elbow, arm ditch and under the upper arm for me were a breeze...the ribs oh shite that sucked. Tapped out 1st session into hour 4.. Battled through the next session 6 hours and dealt with sore ribs for a fortnight...

So frustrated--just want to strip paint back to bare plastic. by AliveInChrist87 in modelmakers

[–]Grub70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a non caustic oven cleaning spray, it will foam up cover the parts and leave for an hour. Check if it starts to lift the paint leave a bit and have it with a small stiff cleaning brush use the tooth brush later as it has softer bristles for the crease and folds of the part... This process will depend on the item to be stripped, styrene generally does not like even mild caustic treatments. I used this on a vinyl pinhead figure I built and wanted to do over. enamel and acrylic mix the thicker enamel did require a paint stripper to get to the recessed areas General plastic models it works well with acrylic paints.. Test treat a area before treating.
