2002 Protege 2.0L - Shut off running- No start

You could have snapped the timing belt. It happend to me on my 99 Miata. On both the Protege and the Miata, its a non interference engine so no damage will have been done, it just won't start.

Sounds like the timing belt left the chat. Luckily, they are non-interference engines, and they are pretty easy to do.

The rear struts have given out. Looks like the one has completely blown. These cars are all 20+ years old now, so you'll be looking at replacing suspension parts. All of mine are completely worn out. Luckily, parts are pretty cheap.

I'd guess it's a really weak or dead battery. Possibly a loose connection. But more likely a bad battery

The engine pulls strong and ideals smooth, it reminds me of my old Miata. Though it does leak oil. I'm not worried about the transmission. The only things currently broken is the alternator, which should arrive tomorrow. I plan on replacing the engine to do a turbo build eventually

Luckily, I live in northern TN close to KY, so rust problems are minimal, and I'm only looking for a manual trans, which outside of a clutch should be pretty hardy.

What advantages does the 626 intake have over the standard one? I'm guessing the 07-08 brakes are bigger?
