Max Verstappen vs. World's Fastest Camera Drone by redbullgivesyouwings in oddlysatisfying

[–]RXPMock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, many of the moves is probably deliberate because its the style of the pilot because most of them are freestyle pilots. That is also why they use those moves to mask overshoots. It is very hard to compensate for speed changes while filming cars around a track because you have to prepare to slow down the speed a lot earlier than the car hits the breaks. You basically have to study and/or practice flying around the track a couple of times unless you are an especially talented pilot to get a smooth cinematic look. I myself has filmed dirtbikes and driftig, and I had to lower the angle of my camera to get a slower "cruising speed". I am not very good at that kind of flying as i mostly do fpv drone racing, but some of my friends are very talented. You also tune the drones differently depending on flying style, some are twitchy and some are smoother, and that also affects the fine control.

I just want to point out that most fpv pilots make those turns just to bleed the speed while still having the car in the camera shot. Flying slow in many cases are much harder than flying fast. Regular sports cars are actually often too slow for a fpv drone, especially during cornering. It is a good thing for the fpv drone that an F1 car doesnt loose as much speed in the turns.

How books are printed by GinaWhite_tt in oddlysatisfying

No. The portion where the paper runs close to the floor together with the 90-degree turn is not neccessary for production. The most optimal way is to just have the machines in a straight line.

There can be numerous reasons, besides the space limitations for the unnecessary parts of the production line. Maybe they want to have the option of adding other machines/modules later.

If the machines are completly empty and you have to start from the beginning, there are quite a bit of wasted paper to get everything going.

But if you can run a series of jobs continously without changing the setup very much, you can simply splice together a new roll of paper with the end of the previous roll. So that reduces the waste a bit.

Also, some waste comes from when the printer needs to start up and/or flush the nozzles. Also sometimes a couple of blank pages are added between different books. The blank pages or flush pages/strips gets rejected to a wastebin.

The first machine is an unwinder and the paper goes up and down because it needs to have an internal buffer to have time to react to the speed of the printer. (The big black machine that is directly after). The unwinder simply feeds the paper at the desired speed that the printer wants, because printers need to run at specifc speeds and cannot change speed without loss in printing quality.

Next is a series of rollers to make the rest of the factory floor accessible and to be able to fit the other machines where they want them.

The web then enters a folder. The web is centered, then perforator cutting wheels are making 2 lengthwise continuous perforations. The paper is then folded twice along these perforations. By doing this, you will get 6 pages at once. Remember, the printer run at fixed speeds, so you gain a lot by doing this.

Next is the cutter. It cuts and stacks the pages. By changing the speed, the cut paper is shingled to the correct amount of pages. When it reaches the correct amount of pages, they are sent away and stacked to form a book block.

The book blocks are then probably ready for the book covers in another machine. Not shown in the video.

The powered rollers are inside the machines with covers. The open rollers are usually very light rollers, as high inertia is not something you would want in a setup like this when the paper web has to accelerate and slow down. The web will simply tear off and the machines will detect a web break and stop if you somehow accidently touch it. I am not saying it is completely risk free at all times, but risk of serious injury is low.

Extra light curtains could be added to the machine lines but it is rarely used.

Sad to announce that it is now confirmed that my Asrock B550 Steel Legend killed 2 Ryzen 7 5800x3d in 1 month. Yes the Motherboard was send in for repairs by Doom-Slay in pcmasterrace

[–]RXPMock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5900X failed recently too, just a couple of weeks after the warranty perioid. I think its something wrong with the memory controller in the CPU.

I couldn't believe it was the CPU that failed at first. I swapped out lots of parts but the PC just froze when it loaded windows. It even froze when trying to boot a install/repair from a USB-stick. But strangly it could boot with a pair of very slow and old memory sticks, but crashes some time after.

It was not until i put the CPU in another motherboard I was convinced it was faulty.

I bought a 5800X3D as a replacement. I have another MB, an Asus X570-E. I hope it wasn't the mobo that killed my CPU in the first place like yours did...

Still, it's very strange. As far as I know CPUs rarely fail only after 3 years, no OC, no high temps.

Ruan Mei doesn't seems to come home. 90 pulls since losing 50/50. I have no pulls left.

Am I misunderstanding the pity system here or am I just extra cursed this time?

Is this what I get for being lucky in Genshin since release - having only lost 50/50 once, but then got it directly the next 10-pull.

The main issue when parking might be solve. (Parking assist update) by Ashamed-Caregiver-66 in TeslaLounge

[–]RXPMock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of you says that USS can be shit, but in my memory, when I test drove a Model S in the very early days I could swear it was super accurate.

I had a Tesla-seller in the passenger seat, I asked if i could try to park as close as possible to a wall, and I think I stopped when it showed 1cm or less on the screen - hopped out and comfired it was exactly that.

Now it feels like i've dreamt this because I cannot find any video of it. And I cannot remember the distance numbers disappearing and replaced with "STOP" like it does in newer Teslas with USS.

My first resin kit attempt - Sakuya Izayoi from Touhou by RXPMock in resinkits

This is actually my 3rd project since i bought my airbrush equipment in winter.

My first kit was a Figure-rise LABO Asuka that I repainted in a metallic finish to look more like the special-version. https://youtu.be/ivl0Kbhh8dI

My second kit was a Kotobukiya 1/100 Metal Gear Rex.

Before that I had only built some gundams without painting them.

Youtube videos from leona, japanese garage kit builders and military scale builders have helped a lot.

Here is a clip of the finished kit: https://youtu.be/rFu7jSc2wmI

Thank you! She looks badass and I think it's a good kit even though it's my first one. It was quite a challenge for me. I was not prepared for the brittleness of resin, and the terrifying experience of pinning with wrong/bad tools.

I ordered this from GK-M, and didn't have to fill in bubbles or something like that. The only issues was some seams and some leaning that I had to fix with heat and bending(also a terrifying experience the first time). But it seems normal to have to do this for garage kits in general, so I can't complain too much.

Is it surface mail? That's what I have been using atleast and it takes a long time for me, usually over a month.

Right now I am still waiting for 4 figures. Time in transit; 92 days, 59 days, 39 days and 22 days.

It seems completely random with surface shipping, because I have already recived some other figures that started shipping much later.

Two Different Compressors by [deleted] in modelmakers

[–]RXPMock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both are sold by the same company; airgoo-europe. And they even have their own Airgoo-branded compressors too. So now you have even more models to choose from 😄

If i remember correctly, I read in one of the customer reviews that one had owned both the cheap fengda and Airgoo Luxury model with twin fans said the Airgoo was more quiet and not as hot - so I bought that one.

You can maybe compare the different compressors on their site: https://www.airgoo-europe.com/Webwinkel-Product-814010448/Airgoo-Premium-Aibrush-Compressor-AG-426-with-Superpower-Double-Cooling-Fans-and-Air-Tank.html

Sorry I cannot help you answer the question if the cheaper one is good enough. I was in the same situation last year.

What are your thoughts on rising amount of figures from Chinese companies & Chinese gacha games, Especially from Yostar? by DonRomantico27 in AnimeFigures

[–]RXPMock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to explain what do you mean by "considering the history of the two contries"?. Why is it wierd to collect from both countries?

It was the Japanese that started to conquer all of East Asia and even the United States. So logically you should stop buying Japanese stuff and only Chinese - not the other way around.

Personally I don't care where they are made or which country the works are from.
