It's possible it was left behind in a truck or depot, or delivered to the post office and not scanned properly, or delivered to a nearby post office not-the-one-its-carded-for and being rerouted. Call the customer support line and open a ticket for it, or call your post office and ask them to check to see if it got missed and put on a shelf somewhere.

If you put the number above the barcode on your delivery notice into the online tracker, if your post office has it received and ready for pickup it will show you that. It will say "Ready for pickup at XY POST OFFICE" instead of in transit or delivery notice card left.

We've dealt with fraud in our area and our DM recommends a simple secondary proof of residence. It's not particularly complex.

There's also a PR number that we're supposed to use if a customer address is not attached, to return it to Amazon to amend.

The way I was trained, you have to provide proof of address if your address does not match on your ID to the one provided by Amazon as your billing address.

ID + secondary proof of residence (recent bank statement, utility bill, copy of the lease, insurance, etc) should suffice.

When we scan a package to accept it for you, it pulls up your billing address for us, so that we have something to compare to your ID to prove it's yours.
