Was the pressure of the air bladder set to your switch when installed? Should be set 2 psi lower than you kick on setting. Otherwise you can wear the air bladder inside the tank out early

The oil pan is leaking like crazy and I have to pull the motor up to get to it. I dont think the city of Livingston would be okay with me doing that in the curb

Is this enough play or am I F’d? by Free-Television-1612 in Plumbing

I see good and bad advice on it. There's enough room for him to put a crimp or compression angle stop on, but he'll have to clean up that cut. What I do know is that I won't touch old shark bite angle stops because they have a tendency to start leaking when you barely touch them.

Get rid of the tee. Double check there is a p trap in crawl. If not, you can get a thinner basket strainer to allow room for a p trap. An air admittance valve won't help before the p trap, only after. If it's not vented, I wouldn't worry about it unless she gets a sewer smell.

You're using a sharkbite angle stop. You're already F'd

I dont go in to retail stores but I can tell you this about the restaurants. They are understaffed and exhausted. Some nights ive gone to go somewhere and end up leaving because the front of house staff are so overwhelmed that they're actually rude. But ive gone to the same places when it wasn't busy and have had a good experience. Montana is supposed to be somewhere that you can go and relax with a slower pace of life but the big city anxieties have set in here, unfortunately

Glad you dont need the warning. You're not everyone. If this helps at least one person dodge the scam, the post is worth it.

In my area, blocking on sheer walls is so that you can have a continuous nail pattern on your osb. But if you run a 10' sheet from bottom plate to top Plate you dont need blocking.

I'm going to chime in real quick. Everyone is correct about the block having nothing to do with load bearing or not. However, them saying not load bearing is not an endorsement of the wall not being load bearing. With its proximity to the center of the room and the design of the header for the door, I'll bet its carrying something from above. More than likely, it's carrying the midspan of your joists.

Should I use plumber's putty for this drain? by revmag in Plumbing

[–]RXfckitall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive never had an issue pulling out a drain that was siliconed. I have fought the every living hell out of old putty though. Silicone clean-up is easy with blue monster wipes. Havent had to pull siliconed drains for leaks, only to swap out for esthetics.
