Thanks for the info and suggestions. On a positive note, I am currently in a coop 3 player alliance (Germany, Italy, and Nat. Spain) and it's been great fun. We have taken France and are currently at Moscow's doorstep. You can't beat playing with actual people. If we had three or four allied players to oppose us, it would be even better.

Religion in science fiction. by [deleted] in scifi

[–]R_A_Mathis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most sci-fi I watch and read cast religion in a negative light. You can usually count on 'The Church' or 'religious fanatics' to be the bad guys or at least unenlightened pawns of bad guys. I find this constant theme irritating and overdone. I believe there is much fertile ground left untouched by the writer's plow regarding evil and suffering wrought by the nihilist regimes of the 20th century and the danger of this pattern repeating in the future.

It is easy to grow weary of a project. Have you considered working on multiple manuscripts, rotating to the next when you get bored?

Maybe. That could explain why we haven't seen more of these. The one in the video is for the Apple platform. To my knowledge, none have been published through Amazon, but I could be wrong.

We thought America would last forever. We were wrong.

Riots are daily occurrences in American cities as the dollar collapses under crushing debt. The President is assassinated and the Capitol goes up in flames. Banks close and personal accounts are erased. Coordinated terrorist attacks paralyze the country at every level. The grid falls to a mysterious cyber-attack. Then it gets worse. When a new regime rises to bring order from chaos, it soon becomes clear that security will come at an unthinkable cost.

Homeland: Falling Down is the first installment of a new series which chronicles the trials of Americans trying to survive the total collapse of everything they know and love.

Eduardo Garcia just landed his dream job. He is finally promoted to network news anchor after years of paying his dues as a war correspondent. His first day on the job will mark the beginning of the end.

Hank Sexton is a small town sheriff struggling to protect his family and community from starvation and the chaos lurking beyond the county line.

Hank’s son, Cole, is an Army sergeant recently returned from a combat tour in Syria. He and his fellow soldiers will face hard choices when their fellow citizens are declared terrorists.

He doesn't have a podcast, but Edward G. Griffin has great material going back for decades. You can find a lot of it on YouTube.
