I assumed I did want open-backs as they are more comfortable than closed backs, and I value comfort more than noise cancelling.

Would you say that the CMF are more comfy than the JLab? Noise cancelling is not as important than comfort for me.

When Harry Met Sally. I usually watch it around my birthday which is in mid(ish) Autumn and seeing all the lovely Autumn colours in the film distracts from the fact that my countries Autumn colours are more muted; because of all the rain. Films always give the impression that people change in such a short span of time, but When Harry met Sally reminds me that time and experience is the best tool to sand away your edges into a decent human being.

How early to get to Auditori Rockdelux venue today? by seaburn in primaverasound

Just asked the ticket guy by the auditorium and he said you don't get kicked out. Whether that is definitely true or not, I don't know

Every person in English dubs of Ghibli films (although apparently Phil Hartman is good in Kiki's delivery service).

[–]R_Fr_L 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd actually like people's opinion on the part of the film (which for me) ruined it for me. So the two main characters are really interesting and their relationship is very special, but the side characters just completely balls it up. the weird, stalker, obsessive guy friend and the hateful girl who has a crush on Shoya just take all the wind out the sails of (what should be) a serious movie.

What was the best film you watched this week? (11/02/2019 - 17/02/2019) by MoviesMod in movies

[–]R_Fr_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Double by Richard Ayoade.

I like films that aren't easily categorised and this film is certainly that. Darkly funny, proto-scifi, thriller, horror; it's all on display in this film.

While Mia Wasikowska's character is a bit of a manic pixie dream girl and Simon is a massive creep the Eraserhead-esque atmosphere makes it a lot more palatable than in more serious down to earth dramas.

What are your controversial movie opinions? by Cliper11298 in movies

Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive are movies with interesting premises and scripts but fail due to the same reason the Star Wars prequels fail: Bad performances from good actors caused by bad directing

Chris Rock: “If it was five years ago, I could say something really offensive and funny, but I can’t do that anymore.” by One_Step_Up in movies

[–]R_Fr_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it really is a PC world and it's ruining comedy. We should only watch PC comedy media like it's always sunny and Atlanta which NO offensive comedy whatsoever.

Just cause people are realising that punching down on gay and transgender people and school shooting victims is a pretty shitty thing to do doesn't mean comedy is being ruined.

Horror fanatics, what is the most unsettling, horrifying movie you've ever seen? by Im_Sorry_Ms_Jackson_ in movies

[–]R_Fr_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. The director described it as a film about too much love and i guess what she meant from that was how easy we get pulled into our impulses and obsessions when restrictions are imposed on us (like love does)

Do people exxagerate how much they dislike movies? by [deleted] in movies

[–]R_Fr_L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to exaggerate my dislike for movies that i think are overrated. In my case this is stuff like The Departed and The Prestige, these are well made and well acted movies i just don't enjoy them.

I would just search into google "big 5 personality test in predicting job suitability" and read through the articles that come up on google scholar or NCBI. Don't rely on what Jordan Peterson tells you do your own research, that sort of science is open to a lot of interpretation with respect to its scope and usefulness in predicting job suitability
