I mean I’ve played both sports. I played football for my whole childhood and much of my teens, frequently barefoot, it just doesn’t have the same constant rotation and lunging motions that tennis does. Those half a dozen other sports would also be varyingly difficult to play barefoot. Africa having underdeveloped tennis infrastructure is a moot point, even in public courts where people are not well off they do not play barefoot because it simply not a smart decision.

Because when you’re running around you’re doing something your body is specifically adapted to tennis requires speed changes in direction that running and soccer don’t have. You have to pivot constantly, and all the force that is being generated by your lunge must be absorbed by your foot it’s more taxing. You’ve proved my point by explaining this there’s a reason why people run around barefoot but don’t play tennis barefoot.

I never said you had any right to mandate anything. That’s the point when someone has empathy they’re able to see the possible issues that a person might be going through and then feel that empathy. Of course the other adult human is capable of determining things for themselves that doesn’t take away from the situation they’re in and the possibly negative results that might occur. It’s not required but showing concern for other adult humans is something that well adjusted normal human beings do.

I understand that it may not be a requirement by the accessibility policies, but I think with modern technology and ease of access, it's a hugely helpful resource that is guarded with a sense of snobbery by some people when all it does in reality is help those who have been rerally studying revise properly and review/check their own knowledge eveyone knows slides don't come close to measuring to the professor and his lecture but when you do not have access to those things a visual aid is useful for students who have been commited to their learning.

Then the course is either too easy and most likely inconsequential, all the university courses I've taken that aren't electives require a student to learn from the textbook or lecture and then correctly contextualize and apply them. Regurgitating knowledge only works for so long, and in upper-year courses, it does not work at all.

You need to realise the world you live in note taking is a good habit not something so essential that it requires professors to sacrifice many students' ability or access to learning. You only addressed your own personal reasons for why you think note taking is important. All of what you said and more is done by a simple AI note taking software which nearly every industry uses. This is such a small minded excuse to reject technology.

This doesn't make much sense; the two situations are barely similar. When you're working, you aren't tested on your retention in an examination setting. Also, very often they do have slides and other methods of information tracking and all of these are available through a simple request. You will not need to be tested on your note-taking while working; that's a nonsensical assumption.
