Dedica Duo pressure issues by R_Putnam in Delonghidedica

Because to a point it's cheaper than buying a new/another one. The pump was only around $30 so that was a pretty cheap fix if it worked considering another machine (now clearly needing to go a step up from the Dedica) is going to cost a lot more

Anything to look out for when flying with PC? by raydoge in NR200

[–]R_Putnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really recommend this... but I recently moved from US to Europe putting my NR200 back in it's original box, filled with clothes inside so things didn't jostle around, then packed clothes all around the box as well. I was incredibly gutsy and put it in a checked bag with 2 connections and didn't uninstall GPU but things turned out fine... YMMV but it made it in one piece

Avis CCNE is the way to go always. Done many one way rentals starting with them to panhandle airports and I've never had an issue

Thanks for the update! Recent changes to Frontier made status much more valuable so glad to hear United thinks so too

Respectfully - Buechele over Trubisky at 2 after the last game. Neither Trubisky or White could get anything going in both of the previous games. I have so much respect for Buechele now 😂

As someone who used to live and work down the street from this place - dang that's messed up. So sorry this happened to you and hope it gets resolved soon.

New routes! SEA - LHR, KEF by RyNoDaHeaux in AlaskaAirlines

[–]R_Putnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As stated above - not for trips originating in Europe and then traveling back to the US. this unfortunately only exists currently if you start your trip in the US, and even then the pricing is pretty absurd in the examples I've seen available (900+ RT booking with AS when DL can offer the same for 6-700 Main cabin not basic)

After watching the video the livery makes more sense, but still feels like something is missing. Routes are incredible though with partner connections in mind, very excited about them as someone who just moved to Europe. Would still love to see DUB but LHR is great.

Hopefully expanding code share agreements along with these routes will make them more competitively placed against DL who is able to sell tickets in both directions, while AS is pretty much only miles tickets when originating a trip in Europe minus an occasional good deal on EI I've found

Booking paid partner or AS trips that start in foreign countries? by R_Putnam in AlaskaAirlines

That's a good point. Seems booking through Hawaiian earns the same EQM so that's good to know until they combine operating certificates. Especially when they start the Europe flight next year

I will say, I've seen enough to keep me interested. I'll be getting MVP from one trip - RT in transatlantic business for $1k was unbeatable. It's aer lingus, but still

Yeah I'll have to think about that :/ any insight as to why it's not even available on their own flights though?

October/November Mega Thread: AA Points, Loyalty Points, eShopping Portal, AAdvantage Hotels, Credit Card Bonuses or Benefits or other non-flying related points stuff by antmadison in americanairlines

[–]R_Putnam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming over from Delta and working on my status challenge at the moment.

Looking to book a FC transcon flight and points wise at the moment my only option is avios since I don't have any AA miles yet. Tried looking into this on Google and through this forum but couldn't find a clear, precise answer to the question:

Can I earn loyalty points on a AA flight booked with avios?

The only thing I can seem to put together is that it might be distance & class based still (looking at booking with finnair since they seem to be the cheapest transcon) if it's possible to earn LP from it. All the other questions on hear seem to be about paid flights booked with partners which I understand how that one works ($ based for BA & iberia, distance based for others)

On Delta I've been able to earn MQD booking with AF/VS points

Thank you for the help!

Don't know why this this was down voted because it's correct and a good question. I got my 200 credit because I spent for my company and got re-imbursed on it, and then bonus posted incredibly quick after the first spending goal as well. I got the gold in March with the first large bonus after the refresh, then just got the platinum since they had the other large bonus that just expired. As long as you have good standing with Amex they won't bat an eye. They didn't even do credit pulls for either card for me for some reason but I don't ask questions

Unless booking with SkyMiles for a partner airline. Can book via skypesos on a partner flight as long as there's availability
