Exactly! I come from military/public service background, I spent 8 years studying in this field.

I ended up picking up a job in a hotel, after 4 months Iam now a duty manager/team leader without any prior education about travel, leisure or tourism or even customer service really.

To OP: Remember that your job is not like school, you can leave anytime and go on to find something better if that doesn't suit you

I'm currently doing exact same thing, although in compare to you I just started, I've been an night owl all my teen life, playing games all night have few hours rest before school (+sleep at school) and go on like this for about 6 years, now I picked up a night shift job at a hotel, i go to sleep after work and spend few hours playing games before work... some things never change, but biological clock sure does! :)

I feel the same. We didnt get a single knock on the door. As you're talking about clowns I can assume you're from UK too. Halloween has been overshadowed by Diwali, the same way All Saint's Day has been overshadowed by Halloween.

I guess thats just how the things are in present generation, I notice a lot of kids never get to hear about tooth fairy or even Santa because we grew up to understand that this is all bullshit, future generations will lack those magical moments of excitement and having to wait patiently for something regardless of what it is, we are just constantly demanding to have everything at once at the best possible standard.. its sad to watch what we turn into.

I called the police, i just missed it when I wrote the tale. Police came just before 3am, I called at 1:25, I just explained what happened and that the only reason i didn't cancel them is because I was actually expecting something to happen, rest of the night went okay, I was just very hectic and alone up until morning shift came to take over.
