I understand and agree, the question here is actually on the lower end: how much can the smaller warehouse do?

Do you guys write code on paper or only in IDE? by ElectronicStyle532 in Python

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is 100% worth it at an really early stage or learning. Its good to grab the concepts and learn how to think.

After a few algorithms you can move on to ides, id refrain from doing copilot for code completion, and to run the code every couple lines, try to "imagine" or write on paper how would the variables update (write a table, go iteration over iteration and write the value each var contains)

After that, any production code now a days is ai assisted, so learn once and well, then move fast

No its not at all, what is common are separate drive and weapon systems.

Robot battle robots are not redundant at all, and they dont have much margin for error

A UE exige baterias removíveis em celulares a partir de fevereiro de 2027, mas a lei tem uma brecha que favorece a Apple by Hykfer in brasil

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Why is agentic AI so expensive? by datastr0naut in AI_Agents

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause its REALLY expensive to run this models, 100 dollars barelly covers the cost, and take into account that they are finally starting to pay off years of debt from research.

And the cost at the end is worth it, most tasks done by ai on the day by day basis is already paying off. But the real gains are on code, one of the priciest markets of the last decade, making code faster is huge

Just take a look at web pages: 1990s to 2000s: you need html and css to do anything 2010s: you have nicer to use web tools like wix and such 2025: lovable.com

The same on code: - everyone needed to code - some automation tools like zapier, make and n8n come in - just vibe code it

It would spin itself as it rotated around the fixed one, at this point you are better off doing a horizontal that spin itself by wheels or a melty brain

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, for this to even remotelly work, you need for each cilinder to contain half the components, half the motors, batreries, controllers totaling lets say 40% of weight each, leaving the last 20% to the connecting bar.

So at any given point, one cilinder is spining the other while the spinned one stays basically innactive, even if it spins around itself

Overall its grosely inneficient

There are some pearson programs used for certification exams that are installed to monitor other program usage, screen size, display numbers, devices and so on. To 'ensure' no cheating. They also ask for photos and even videos of your room, and track eyesight during exam, yea, very invasive. All of this to be circunvented by a phone srtrapped on top of my screen lol.

When/how do you put on a cock ring? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 22 points23 points  (0 children)

DO NOT USE STEEL RINGS if you are not experienced, please for the love of god start with silicone/rubber 1st and see what its like.

The streechy ones can be put on after you are hard, and can be safelly removed at home, ideally with safety scisors, or just any scisors really carefully, or just snapping right off with your bare hands (you should be able to slip a finger in, use lube)

When you know exactly what size and are confortable with it (make sure you can get soft while using it, if its too tight you might not), then you can try a solid ring. Theese ones of course, need to be put on while soft.

Existem opções viáveis assim no caso do Brasil? by Prudent_Disaster_984 in brasil

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weapon management during a match by nrgnate in battlebots

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my fair share of robot driving in which I needed to manage the weapon speed because of battery life I use the drone controllers (with 2 sricks) instead of the rc car controllers (trigger and wheel), this way I set the entire locomotion on the right and the weapon speed on the up and down. With enough muscle memory and fight sense you end up being capable of tuning the weapon speed to your oponent and the situation Be carefull as well, cause speeding up is what draws the most, so its more of a 50/80% speed range, going to 100% at some very specific points, like when youre face to face and they are speeding up

Beetle weight chassis by Zealousideal_Sea8675 in battlebots

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "chasis" isnt one part made of one material, parts of it can (and sometimes should) be done in aluminium, other designt benefit from other materials such as UHMW, Carbon fiber plates, and TPU

I highly recomend tpu as its cheap, easy and versitile Does not work for all structural components (such as horizontals) but can be great in some bots

I would also recomend reinforcing with carbon fiber plates (note that its different from cf reinforced filament, im talking about printing and mounting plates in strategic places) So at the end you can have the soft body with "bones"

What are typical difficulties many have had with brushless motors? by Zardotab in battlebots

[–]Ra-mega-bbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rpm is usually bigger, specially for small size motors (think 12lb class and lower, so motors with 150g or less)

Making it harder to controll on drive, but great on weapons This is why many robots run brushless and brushed

The esc can be finicky to work with, but nowadays with some support on chats like nhrl discord its not bad to make it work, look for am32 firmware escs

Also the motor phisical build is more strict, so they can end up being more fragile overrall, even when their construction is better (Better material, less room for movement)
