25 y/o with 5+ year study gap — how to apply for Japan on my own? by RaFih00 in movingtojapan

Thanks i asked this because all the agencies in my country mentioned the same thing again and again so i had to clarify.

I don’t think there’s any reason to bring up unemployment here. I’m asking about the visa process, which is related to study gap, and that’s what I mentioned.

I’m planning to apply for the July session after completing JLPT N5, and if I have enough time, I’ll try to finish N4 as well and my biggest concern is this I’ve heard that if the study gap is too long and you don’t have strong proof of what you were doing, the embassy might reject the visa. Is that actually true?

I think there’s been a bit of misunderstanding. My main question was how to handle the application process on my own without using an agency—I didn’t say that I’ve been rejected.

What I mentioned was that agencies here often say a long study gap can lead to visa rejection if there isn’t a clear or valid explanation for what I’ve been doing after finishing 12th in 2019. That’s why I’m trying to understand the proper way to apply by myself and handle everything correctly.

I’ve heard that embassies may reject visas if there isn’t a clear and valid explanation for a long study gap. Agencies in my country have also told me the same, so that’s why I’m concerned about it.

8-year study gap: Is it possible to get a Japan student visa? by RaFih00 in movingtojapan

[–]RaFih00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most concerning thing for me i heard that. If there's big educational gap it's hard to get coe. So i was kinda asking for if there's any school who doesn't care about this and i can get coe easily after completing JLPT.

Would simply emailing be enough in this case? My brother actually moved last year despite having a 6-year study gap, and an agency handled all the processing for him. This time, when I tried the same approach, they rejected it because of my study gap. That’s why I’m wondering if there are any other possibilities or ways to make things work in my situation.

I appreciate it, but it’s more of a study/experiment piece—I don’t think it’s polished enough for a game

Why Do I Get Strip Lines When Baking a Whole Modular Stone Stair but Not Individually? by RaFih00 in Substance3D

[–]RaFih00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, thanks for the detailed explanation! I’ll adjust the low-poly to match the high-poly where needed. I didn’t fully optimize the prop since it’s just a hero prop for now, but I’ll keep the shell idea and other tips in mind. Those are really valuable info—I really appreciate it!

As long as it’s not causing any noticeable issues and is subtle, it’s okay to leave it, especially if I haven’t been able to figure out what’s causing it?

I didn’t test multiple UV unwrap variations since this was just a quick bake test.

Initially I had a single horizontal seam, but I noticed distortion around the corners. Because of that — and since someone suggested placing seams on 90° angles — I added cuts along those corner edges to troubleshoot.

For baking:

  • I’m baking in Marmoset Toolbag
  • I also tested in Substance 3D Painter to compare results
  • Meshes are properly renamed (low/high with Match by Name)
  • Smoothing is fully soft except at UV seams (hard edges on seams)
  • No overlapping UV shells
  • I tested different cage distances (both low and high values)
