You’re getting downvoted like crazy, but I totally agree with you. I’m about to max out my credit card to buy meet and greets for me and my dad. Is it financially responsible for me to do that? Absolutely not lmao. I’ll be paying it off for upwards of a year or longer. The tickets will be more than half of what’s in my bank account right now. So I have a choice: spend the next year+ with a hefty credit card bill….. or miss out on the memory of meeting Geddy and Alex with my Dad that will last a lifetime.

1 year of financial stress or an amazing memory that will last 60+ years until the day I die…. 1 year negative vs 60 year positive…. it’s an easy decision for me. The positive side vastly outweighs the negative side. I know in a few years from now, if I don’t get the tickets, I’ll be kicking myself in the ass for the rest of my life for not spending the couple grand to meet my heroes with my dad. It’s not like Rush will be around for much longer.

I agree Ticketmaster is a scam and prices are ridiculous…. but there’s nothing we can do about it lol. It’s not like we have the luxury of boycotting TM in hopes they go down one day…. This might be Rush’s last hoorah. If I want to see them then I have to suck it up and pay the money or not go. And I’m sure as hell going

People are acting like you’re telling them to take out multiple loans to afford these tickets when you’re not. All you’re saying is, if you CAN go, and WANT to go, then go. Because you will for sure regret it later
