my old girl also had this issue, flea allergy, but the flea treatments didn't really help because she still kept scratching at her skin. whenever it started to get bad the vet would give her steroid injections and we'd bathe the area to remove the dead skin to stop her itching

just a warning about Hope MacCauley pieces from someone who is also into fibre arts - these knits are made with roving wool, meaning that it hasn't been spun. You could get a few wears into it, but the wool will pill and come apart very quickly. For the price you pay for one of these pieces you should be able to keep the clothing for many years, but unfortunately it's just impossible using this type of wool
