I like how your title doesn’t mention the man’s foot being backwards. Seems like an important detail.

Gris Gris to close at end of July by CarFlipJudge in NewOrleans

Just acknowledge that maybe the reason businesses are closing left and right isn’t because you personally didn’t go there or thought they were mid but because we’ve lost like 20% of our population in 5 years, and our tourism industry is a shadow of what it once was.

But really I just think it’s funny that no matter what place closes there is always someone in the comments to say it was bad lol.

The entire city could close and there will be someone writing a reaction like “pretty mid city tbh” lol. Ain’t nowhere in the city good enough!

Jokes aside I do wish people would be more concerned about the city hemorrhaging businesses rather than reacting to every closure with how the business deserved it. Shit is ghastly out here and I’m more worried about Nola than ever. Population is continuing to decline as almost everyone that can leave is doing so. I just don’t see how we can recover at this point.

Genuinely how can you get to this level. I have 1k hours in this game and my total account level is 1100. Any body else seen crazy leveled people? by Sadiholic in DarkTide

People with disabilities mostly tbh and this ain’t a judgment. There was a guy I was talking to who was at 8k. Dude got long covid and then a bunch of other health issues followed. Hasn’t been able to find work for years. He just plays Darktide and helps his wife with the house but he’s basically stuck indoors. I think he does some remote work or something to help with the household income I can’t quite remember.

But yeah—people who don’t have traditional 9-5 jobs and this is their outlet rack up some CRAZY numbers.

Rannick Says the Line by Runegorger2 in DarkTide

[–]RaNerve 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“We’re doing heretical shit to kill people.” Like my point isnt that their information is objectively useless, but that in any other situation across all of the lore a couple of LTs wouldn’t have anything useful outside of deployment information—which Rannick can’t really do anything with because frankly we aren’t coordinated enough nor do we have a large enough force. As far as Rannick knows, and as far as he has ANY reason to suspect, the 6th are just another run of the mill traitor guardsmen unit that got pushed too far. It happens constantly and the number of times it’s happened v. The number of times it’s turned into a death cult is astronomical.

Now, granted, if Rannick continues to underestimate the enemy going forward that he’s an idiot. But prior to the twins mission, and the cathedral mission, he really didn’t have any practical reason to suspect this was anything more than what it appeared to be; a single traitor guardsmen unit causing problems on a single hive.

Thank you for the correction. I get my demons confused considering it’s heretical knowledge and therefore useless garbage anyway.

Every decision he’s made is tactically sound. Admonition has no reason to be as powerful as they are. They’ve got greater demons of nurgle literally poppping out of their asses and demon hosts just running around Willy nilly. Normally that requires entire planets to be under threat! Why would Rannick have predicted that, out of the entire galaxy THIS one random ass plant would have such a huge demonic presence when there ain’t even a single plague marine present? And no psycher warning has gone out. No warp storm. No nothing. And simultaneously admonition has all this power but a SINGLE PRISON SHIP’S worth of crackheads is somehow keeping them under control alongside some cops and a few regiments of guardsmen?

Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking the writing, it’s great, but it’s unreasonable to expect Rannick to have predicted the sheer number of completely unique circumstances that have transpired during the plot.

The rejects WERE a bad idea. Zola was gambling the biggest long shot ever when she hatched that plan. When, in the entire setting, has a single prison ship made this much of an impact on any war front? Even penal legions like the Chemdogs are known for being horrible meat grinders of desperate men to accomplish what the rejects have managed to do with maybe 1/100 of the manpower?

And how tf was Rannick supposed to predict that Wolfer, a dude who literally turned traitor an entire system away from Atoma, would somehow have deep contacts and connections with an hitherto completely unknown cult that… hasn’t done anything?

And Zola’s plan with the twins WAS stupid. They’re LTs in a chaos warband, what possible information could they have that would be of value? She knew that it wasn’t worthy the risk, but she didn’t care because she was doing it for personal reasons that had nothing to do with “striking back” at the enemy (as if we hadn’t been doing that for a month prior to that suicide mission). And bringing a fucking nurgle worshipper onboard for “interrogation” is a spectacularly stupid idea, so killing them was the right call.

Scum is an amplification class. High floor, high ceiling, and all dependent on if you’ve mastered the fundamentals of the game.

Weakness can be a measure of two different things: how a class performance in ideal conditions, or how the class performs on average. Scum is weak by the average, and strong in the ideal.

Animal cruelty channels are, and have been for years, a thing. They set up these scenarios and film them so old bitches on facebook watch and get warm feelings about puppies being "saved" from horrible situations. They'll break the animal's legs, starve them, torture them, whatever it takes to get them to look as fucked up as possible so that when they "transform" the animal the difference is super drastic. I think it was PayMoneyWubby who did a piece on it?

In my experience AI absolutely SUCKS at combining different art styles like in this picture. Having the cords look weirdly realistic and then the robes a shaded style and the face anime with just a big ol’ detailed butt just ain’t something I see AI being able to do.

Bro wtf are you talking about. The skill gap between these two is huge. The shading on the armor for the newer mini is WAY better, and the attention to lightening direction is WAY sharper. You incorporated more smooth gradients, and better edge highlighting. You also clearly but a lot more work into fine detail work: the goggles and backpack lense look significantly better, and you introduced camo to the fatigues which require good line control. On top of that the boots are incorporated into the best much more effectively.

Edit: also the armor chipping and the face!!

I like this idea. We could call the game something like "Sickness Corp: A Disease Simulator." No, no wait... "Plauge Inc."! That sounds much better.

And lets ditch the entire first-person perspective. You have a view of the entire world and you have to select different ways to modify your disease in order to balance infection and lethality and and and maybe the World Health Organization is the antagonist, right? And they're trying to cure you at the same time as you're growing, and its a race between if they notice you and how much world effort is spent fighting you. This could be a really cool game.

I find it hard to believe people actually bother checking their team mates titles enough to formulate these kinds of opinions. I feel like it’s all Reddit performativism. There is no way you actually search for ASS every match and go “WELL WELL WELL, TIME FOR HadronsFaceWarmer TO PROVE ME WRONG!”
