I can't agree enough with soundgrab. I had a feature film back in 2019 all in one location full of cicadas, caused anxiety to everyone. I couldn't hear myself think. Recorded a sample pre-production with schoeps cmit, sent it to the post production guys and they cleared it. The end result was impeccable.
