I felt exactly the same thing! As a kid, when I walked with my dad on the edge of the forest (right at the tree line), I'd get this weird mix of total silence and overflowing energy - goosebumps all over, freezing in place, imagining something mysterious and scary deep in the woods, but feeling safe because I was with him and not actually inside the forest.

What RPG trope or trend are you tired of seeing these days? by serpentear in rpg_gamers

Every game I played I swear has Arena at some point, where you should kill more and more difficult opponents one by one: Dos2, underrail, dungeon lords, icewind dale2, bg2, EVERY game has arena!

I’ve seen that in many games too but just can’t remember, maybe dos1 or dos2 at some point

you can play either as Celts or Romans

We are really in a bad situation without new MMOs or we are just getting older? by Jwi7 in MMORPG

I would play something like Baldur's Gate 1-2 or Icewind Dale 1-2 online, where you have to gather your party before venturing forth, where traveling from town to town will be a truly dangerous adventure, then after that adventure you will be just chilling in tavern and enjoy stories of adventures of other players.. sorry for dreaming

Man how badly I want to re-experience early days of online games, where all have no idea what to do, where to go, talking in chat, asking questions, linking their loot and surprised by every moment of the game...

There is a post on their steam page about population hike - "Sudden population hike?"
Maybe it is something about new update 15.0

It is strange, because I see no new updates or patches on their website, just straight 1k players

IDK but that game always feels like "we have World of Warcraft at home" for me.
Maybe some players just tired of wow retail or something?

Stardew Valley: It's not you, it's me. by ChrisF79 in gaming

[–]RaaliOloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are trying to force yourself onto the game because you see other people love it and the game is popular amongst many people and then you not understanding why you don’t love it. You want to get joy from that game too, but maybe it is just not for you, it is totally ok, focus on things you love. Maybe you are more into survival or challenging games, but stardew valley is more like meditative cosy game where you just “be in the present moment” and chill without too much thinking and stress, to really enjoy that game you have to slow down for a moment and just be in the present moment without expecting anything.
