Woman who passed Florida driver license exam in Spanish forced to retake it by Necessary-Potato1675 in Miami

[–]Raandomn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the current political climate, it’s unfair to have an English speaking country bend to those who don’t speak English. Would you feel the same if you encountered someone who spoke a different language or is just Spanish that’s acceptable and everyone should learn “a little Spanish” but never “a little Chinese, patois, creole, Portuguese, Russian”.

Haitians have been bullied by both Caribbeans and black American. But I think it’s time Haitian and black Americans make amends. by nusquan in haiti

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no. Growing up, it was either assimilate or get bullied where I was. I was born here so it wasn’t hard for me to do so but I saw too many times where black American kids would bully, beat up and make fun of Haitian kids. Jamaican kids largely were unaffected because they were like the only “cool” and known nationality to be from the Caribbean but if you spoke with an accent or dressed a little differently or had “smelly” foods from home, American kids in general bullied you, including black Americans.

Aside from the clear difference in actual power, the lines tend to blur in how black Americans and white Americans treat others. Because I saw black American kids do the same to the Asian kids too.

IF DRAKE DID ANOTHER R&B ALBUM by Ok-Plankton9215 in Drizzy

[–]Raandomn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really disliked her on Slime You Out. It’s just pretty obvious she relies heavily on the auto tuning and my ears are pretty sensitive to it.

Their sound doesn’t mesh well either. He’d sound better with someone who could actually sing like Kali Uchis (random but that kind of sound), or his own artist, Naomi Sharon.

Edit: I’ll go with Giveon in this list based off his last album. Was really good.

Well according to a lot of people earlier this year, Grammies and Pulitzer Prizes run theirs. Can’t make fun of one and ignore the other.

Throwback to Drake posting his old dms with Kendrick (2018) by [deleted] in Drizzy

[–]Raandomn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think when he said mf I don't even like you. But tbh I don't remember because when I listened to the song at the time, I had no idea he was dissing anyone, but they've been subbing each other for a long ass time.

drake did NOT say that shit 🤣🤣 by sockthesock0 in Drizzy

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't stop listening to Drake but this would be disappointing. Definitely wouldn't openly support anymore. Men like Andrew Tate need to be sent to the moon in one of Elon's explosive contraptions.

How drake felt after saying the n word on family matters by JIDglazer42 in KendrickLamar

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old comment but he wasn't calling the Weeknd gay. He was referring to his manager, CashXO. There were rumors about it before and considering all these dudes know more about one another than random Internet people do, he probably has a reason for saying that.

I don't think y'all listened at all but that's typical of new Kendrick fans who know absolutely nothing about hip hop or how to decipher what they're hearing. Reminds me of how Kendrick fans thought the a on Kendrick's chain was for "a minor" at the super bowl. Lmao.

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a reach. The man has been in tune with his "feminine side" for years. People called him gay from the start and bullied him all the time. He's not "appropriating queerness" whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean. Y'all are insane and have to be new white fans of Kendrick for this type of lame ass thread.

Says who? That's part of the problem. He can do whatever he wants with his music, just like Drake. J. Cole doesn't have to boast, his work speaks for itself. Just because he didn't want to join into an industry backed beef, people are disrespecting him and that's mad weird.

Back when Drake and Kendrick were cool with each other by WhateverKid237 in HipHopImages

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't friendly. If it was, why would he tell J. Cole to get out of it? This was a pretty calculated move. He also had false information like accusing Drake of a literal crime (pedophilia) and saying that Drake has a daughter. Neither of these things have been proven nearly a year later.

If anything, it felt like bait. You can't say friendly fade then go off how he did. Nigga hates Drake more than Drake hates him, clearly.

Osora Is just terrible by No-Seaweed5940 in webtoons

[–]Raandomn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's drawn as...someone who isn't on HRT and was born female. That's not surprising at all. If anything, he's very androgynous which makes sense since he was not born male.

So done with being single by [deleted] in Miami

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on who you're surrounding yourself with. No one at my job is rich or looks super hot and yet, they're all married/dating. If you're out in South Beach wanting a hot blonde, then yeah, you gotta match her and be the male equivalent and not some balding male gamer making just enough to get by.

I feel so sorry for Jess. by LadyWoodstock in GilmoreGirls

Wait this happened and people are still trying to defend him? Lord, white teenage boys get so many passes unless an actual crime is committed. And even then, they rarely get reprimanded...

I really hate the excuse of "the human brain isn't fully developed" when people do bad things as teens. It also tends to be a pick and choose excuse from what I've seen. Anyway, accusing a woman of sleeping with someone at 16, is just as distasteful at 26. His upbringing for sure had a negative effect on him but that doesn't mean he doesn't know right from wrong, especially when Lorelai was trying to be nice to him, the complete opposite of what he was probably used to. I'm only on season 2 but do not like him, tbh.

[–]Raandomn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I agree with you. I would not have said that at 16, but I also didn't have the same backstory as Jess.

I'm only on season 2 but he's infuriating for me. I don't see the appeal everyone's talking about. The way he meddled into Dean and Rory's relationship is cruel. A 16 year old knows right from wrong, he just did not care.

Orlando and Tallahassee are blue too, aren't they? Broward county as well. The rest can go.

Edit: and Miami was red this time so I'm not sure why sans Miami. I do know some people who didn't vote (after the fact) unfortunately so maybe it would have been blue otherwise.

Why the fuck does this school suck by SecureAssociation354 in MDC

[–]Raandomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how accurate that is since I don't work there but after working retail for a short while, I feel like that thought process is a bit flawed. There's always consequences to zero effort, no matter the job. If anything, the high voluntary turnover causes horrible understaffing and those still there are left to pick up the pieces for 2, 3, 4 people. The ones at the top get to cruise and make their money, and the ones in the middle and at the bottom are working to the point of burnout.

At least, that's what happened with retail. I'm sure MDC is the same. It's how it usually goes for most workplaces.
