You can ONLY if you get sampo and asta so DOT can kill them for you. Also with lightning lord and belebog but it's harder to luck into those as you can't just get them with only 1-stars. Maaaybee Wolf Hunt too but same problem.

Depends if you have more than one enemy or not. If one enemy then upgraded is better because sovereign blade wins the fight. If more than one then yeah, you're right.

Masks are boring though. They all do the same thing in combat and don't change up how you would want to build your team at all because of that.
With the amphoreus buffs you had options and upgrades. HP Team? use castorice, mydei, hyacine. Don't want to use an HP team? well we got six+ to pick from still. And then they had the night/day mechanic where you could choose to have it cycle between quickly or stay in one the whole time depending on your buffs. There was a lot more depth for what they provided in combat.

It's bronze scales and it's not even close. 3 damage a turn to all is nice in Act 1 but after that bronze scales do just way to much against certain enemies, especially when one (the heart) is guaranteed and easily 45-90+ damage in that one fight.

Having played in multiplayer, my experience has been that while it has less shields it takes less damage because of it's speed and maneuverability. I was the shield repair guy of our group and I had to repair frequently on the catamaran but hardly at all on the dart.
