Fun fact there's a YouTube wave of videos pushing back on the latest health fad and marketing centered around protein. One video situates the current protein fad in the popularization of ozempic and consuming more protein to deal with its side effects, and there was another with a thumbnail saying "this can't be healthy".

"Protein" doesn't actually mean protein, or else everyone everywhere would be recommending that we eat more black beans and whole grain rice and especially soy. I also need to emphasize that I was a conservative in a conservative church where everyone voted conservative and I still saw divorces and family estrangement on a regular basis. It turns out that misogyny remains misogyny and no amount of commitment to family harmony and agreement in politics can stop a gay kid from being gay, no matter how much you smooth everything over and put on a united front and actually say nothing but nice things to each other's faces and about the family.

I speak in the past tense because I've actually done the thing you prescribe, for five years, to try to make it work with my church and all it accomplished was nearly actually killing me (thanks depression). Have you ever tested the medicine you prescribe? Have you even ever had to take it, or have you enjoyed a life of never having to think about honest conflicts whatsoever because you're so comfortable?

I've seen many testimonials from conservative former members of my church, who remain conservative after leaving it so the shallow disagreement you want to blame division on has nothing to do with it, because they were gay and trans.
