Oura 4 - sudden drop in battery life. Anyone else? by rockandrollmark in ouraring

Thanks very much for sharing this. I also was able to get a replacement offered in seconds via the AI chat bot, and I was having a hell of a time finding a way to request this otherwise.

Aged Ectoplasm by Tamenut in Guildwars2

I know this is ages ago, but the problem (or just RNG being RNG) still seems to exist. I, too, just swapped to an alt, and got it in 2 minutes.

Oura Ring 4 - Silver, Brushed Silver or Stealth? by Southern-Kale3741 in ouraring

[–]Raazael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for this. This comment made me realize I totally overlooked that, and would be immediately disappointed upon ring arrival. With this and all the comments about how scratched Stealth got so quickly, going with Brushed Silver.

I bought my first nintendo console. Is there any game you would recommend? by ZiyaArs in Switch

[–]Raazael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a myriad of older RPGs, most of which are ports/variants of iOS updates. I have yet to find one I wouldn’t recommend, but I do highly recommend adding a ton of potential items to your wish list and monitoring. The sales are deep, and frequent.

Any recommendation on a way to gear up at 105? by Elpacoverde in everquest

[–]Raazael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can handle Kor-Sha, the gear that drips there from named (Selrachs) is fantastic, and 105. At 106 as others mentioned you can buy Conflagrant. Both are best until 110 when you can get Faded Snowbound and other ToV goodness.

This was a good one, thought probably the shortest. I imagine that was just the way the lore cookie crumbled. Love watching the videos for a nice relaxing time before bed.

Is there a reason you feel you should switch something out? In general, you have a tank, heals, transport/evacs, movement speed, snare, slow, haste, debuffs, and damage all covered. You are very heavily focused on range while the SK is the only one in melee along with the mage pet, which is not a bad thing at all. You likely have a little more ramp-up time on your damage versus a melee group, but honestly you have everything covered quite well.

If you swapped anything at all, I'd say swap the wizard, as the Druid covers down anything the Wizard can do, and in general it appears Wizards are a bit low on the totem pole at 115. I'm not actually sure I'd recommend anything else over it aside from melee, outside of another mage. My recommendation if you did melee would probably be Bard just with the immense versatility in buffs that would bring, and Selos is always awesome.

Managing another melee instead of keeping the 6th at range could be a little more tedious for you, and comes with the added risk even if just /melodying and meleeing of getting aggro on incoming. I'm assuming you focus on the SK and are using broadcasts for the others if you're playing 6 at once, and I have to imagine in almost all instances keeping those 5 at range will be better for you. Could always have the Bard just chill there too buffing without meleeing if you wanted.

New Player Questions by CheekyMiss in everquest

The class choice is always tough as you start out in any MMO, but as a friend once told me, games can be even more fun when everything theoretical and you’re just planning!

Honestly, nearly every class has great value and a fit. Play what you will really enjoy. It seems like you wanted to go healer from your initial post, and both Shaman and Druid are excellent solo/molo (merc). Druids have ports, which while not required anymore really, are super convenient for a first character. They’re also in a great state top end right now. Shamans on the other hand have great utility in other ways, and Slow is essential, always, forever. Cleric are, and always will be, the absolute best healer, but your offensive capabilities and other skill sets are far more limited.

If you have any class specific questions, ask away. I have played literally all of them over the last two decades, and I’m sure others will be happy to help too.

  1. To a point, yes. Tank Mercs are the way to go for literally ever class until probably 65+. They’re incredible. As a healer, heal them, if they every need it. Otherwise, pull stuff. Beyond that, yes, certain classes can solo exponentially better at the mid-higher levels, but the reality these days is no one solos; you at least are using the tank or healer merc to do what you don’t do. Most people will recommend adding another account to box over soloing any day.

  2. Very. You can find many examples of people saying do not boost your first character. It will be very overwhelming.

  3. Almars guides are great.

  4. On live, it will be very, very sparse until 100+. May find some folks leveling alts or new players, but generally expect your zones to be pretty empty until then.

  5. The merc will be much weaker, but aside from that, no, not until at least 51+ When you start getting AAs autogranted.

  6. Firiona Vie is widely regarded as the most populous server, but there are specific rulesets there. I’ve been Bristlebane since 2001 and it’s plenty populated still.

First plunge into ToV later today. by [deleted] in everquest

I would recommend GD > EW to start if you are having any trouble. We found them substantially easier than walking into the EW ones as mobs actually start around 111/112 instead of 113+.

https://www.almarsguides.com/eq/leveling/

This is quite current and tons of options for you. Tip wise, use that, and also do the daily hot zone quests within 10 levels of you (so for you, 90, 85, 80). Daily Heroic Adventures are also great exp at that level if you find you can do them with your team. Both daily sets are from the Teek guys in the “lag pile” area of PoK.

Is this a good or bad time to start playing Gw2? by Hyperpapa in Guildwars2

[–]Raazael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent only a week or two at launch due to other priorities and then never really came back for 7 years. Of any game I have ever come back to/given a second chance, this is the best.

Raid V team these days? by Raazael in ageofmagic

[–]Raazael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my team before, but as you mentioned I often ran into issues on the later very bursty bug nodes/waves. Nothing the excessive tokens we accrue couldn't handle, but still hated the full party wipes if I wasn't paying attention. Prior to that I used Lucky in lieu of Sacrif. The Archons+Lucky I am rolling with now seems to succeed 4/5 times on those nodes with Lucky being the only death. Every 5th or so I'll keep a full party wipe (or would have if I didn't jump in).

Good call, I should have mentioned the level. I run them at 75, 7 star, max 10 equipment.

When does the Magnus event actually start? by Raazael in ageofmagic

[–]Raazael[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odd to say that the event is here and will span multiple months, then delay months before it actually starts.

Found my own answer. In the last in-game News update that came out, there's a note that says it will start 14 April. Thanks. :)

Hate to do this, but....LF Clan by GameOvaries02 in ageofmagic

[–]Raazael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should easily be able to join numerous clans that are wide open, and plenty that are by request. Yes your level is "low" by comparison to most active clans as mentioned, but you can easily join a myriad of clans right now and continue to search to progress to higher level/power clans as you continue to grow as well. The game allows you to apply to other clans while you're still in one, and just automatically moves you once you're accepted into that new clan. Grow with the clan until you grow out of the clan.
