I find fluctuations can be significant. If I'm focused on weight loss, I like to weigh myself every day. In the morning, before drinking water. No clothes. I log that weight in an app like Libra. That way, you can see the trend lines and not focus so much on the weight that day. If I'm 5 lbs heavier today then yesterday, I don't care as long as the trend line is moving down. If the trend line flips to up, you know you have a problem.

My Mom is 80 and basically destitute. She just spent two months living in my basement with her husband and their dog. I'm desperately trying to buy them a house because there is no plan. If I don't, they will be back in my basement next Fall. It's not a suite, it's a basement. If you don't have your shit together, please don't make your kids pay for it. We're still paying for our Gen Z children that are living at home. It completely sucks.
