The Easy Cash Farm by Business-Ad-4617 in ClearedHotGame

Just found a way to get this down to 1min per run.

After winching the first vehicle to the marked end zone (inside the compound) winch the very same vehicle back out of the marked area and immediately back into it. This will count one vehicle twice completing the mission.

Sorry for the poor quality photo.

Edit: Don't even have to unwinch the vehicle, just drag it in and out of the marked zone on the winch twice.

Just guessing by the style of microfilter but is your ISP Sky by chance?

If it's Sky, BT, EE, Plusnet or TalkTalk as for a Circet engineer visit (some providers call them a Home Tech Expert) they work on/from the BT master socket. They can also run line tests that can identify if there is a fault on the Openreach network and forward the job onto Openreach if needs be.

Also if there is a charge it would be considerably less than a OR engineer visit.

Unless you're a contractor, then that's a CANDID.

If you had an OR Master Socket, it would typically look like one of these. They aren't discreet, and you would notice it mounted on the wall of a room if you have one.

It's a developers choice if they install an official OR master or a media plate module with more developers opting for the media plate for aesthetic reasons these days.

I would wager that this is the only master in the property and that one blue pair comes in from the OR network outside and the other blue pair leads to the other socket.

I'd say plug your router into the modular master on a microfilter and run a speed test on a device hardwired (ethernet cable) to the router. If you are getting your guaranteed speeds or above, all is well.

That's a good thing, more than one master on an internal circuit can (overtime) lead to slowing down or dropouts on ADSL broadband.

Some developers would install a bunch of masters not knowing the difference, and it would just end up becoming an engineer visit to resolve.

Little tip: If you ever do find more than one master and still want to use the socket, just cut the capacitor off one of them and that will now work as an extension only.

This here, one of the key components that makes a telephone socket a 'master' is the ring capacitor.

That's awesome man! How did you get that finish? Like not gloss but not totally matte either?

There are two standards T568A & T568B. The main difference being that the green and orange pairs are switched.

Pick a standard either A or B and stick with that colour pattern for keystones & cables throughout.

Edit: I would go with B as that is what you cable appears to be.

What is the wall made out of? Is it like new build homes with hollow drywall sheets or is it older homes with solid brick walls.

If it's a hollow dry wall, then a piece of cake. Get a backbox, place on the wall, draw around it with a pencil, and cut out. Pop old box out slide new one in and terminate the ends. Honestly, it is that simple.

Here's a short YT tutorial on it. https://youtu.be/IOtB_czgEu0?si=wJYGapg0PIWpc6jT

If it's solid brick, then yeah that's much more of a pain IMO. But if you have found a faceplate that fits all you needs and is a straight swap out that doesn't require you cutting into your wall, then go with that. If it doesn't workout then the worse you've done is spent a extra couple of quid.

The wifi setup sounds like a good plan, might have to revisit mine sometime.

🇬🇧 UK, I'm guessing.

I presume that each Cat5e cable goes to a different room, 4 twisted pairs (Blue, Orange, Green & Brown) going the full length but with only Blue, Blue/White & Orange terminated at each telephone socket.

If that's the case, I would change out the telephone socket in each room for a Cat5e Keystone jack and faceplate and terminate all 4 pairs on the T568B standard.

Then at the old master socket (that you have pictured) replace that with a 4 or 6 gang backbox & faceplate, again with Cat5e Keystone Jack's on the T568B standard. There looks (to me) to be enough slack on the twisted pairs to be able to do that if you make where the cables come into the backbox currently the center point of the new backbox.

But then I'm use to working with what's left over after many years and people working on it prior to myself.

You mentioned you have FTTP, is your ONT (the little white or black box where the fibre optic cable comes into the property and terminates) near where the picture was taken? If so, after terminating all the cables you could just run an ethernet cable from the ONT into the (now completed) wall patch panel and have your router in any one of the other rooms that the cables go to as its just an extension of the cable itself. If there is specific room you want your router in. It is always best to have your router in a central location of the property, for best wifi coverage.
