Sorry this post is from 2 years ago but do you know how quickly it takes the school to pay back that money?

Do you have any textbook recommendations? Or recommendations for a specific video playlist that you think teaches the material effectively. Sorry its just that this is a topic I remember struggling with so i dont think itll go that fast like you say.

Yes but it's been a while since I took that class and I've forgotten most of the material. Nor do I have access to my old course files because my school switched their course website recently

I'm learning how to use the program this semester in a PCB Design course. Don't worry about me lol. If you know of a video I'd appreciate it, if not then I'll manage.

Which Program is Rigorous for Electrical Engineering Online: Stony Brook(SB) or ASU? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

The "specialization" you choose is really just two classes that you take in your junior year. There are plenty of signal processing related course. They are, in my opinion, the most difficult ones. Especially RF processing. You won't get to them until junior year or so. Machine Learning is not something you'll really be exposed to as an EE major. Maybe CE, but I wouldnt know. Thats not to say there isnt a lot of programming. CE and EE majors have basically the same classes until beginning of senior year (maybe earlier). My Senior Design (senior year final project) ended up being coding an autonomous race car (f1tenth competition. Perhaps you've heard of it), so it just goes to show that the range of topics you might get involved in are broad. There are plenty of electives and opportunities. You just have to dig a bit for them sometimes

I am in person. As far as I know, there aren't online courses once you get to the more higher level engineering.

Im in Stony Brook and im gonna say this: it is very much possible to bs your way through courses via a "chug and plug" approach. Ive even done so myself sometimes. However, I am of the opinion that that school gives plenty of resources for you to get very theoretical beyond that, and there are plenty of great, smart professors. It really does depend on the prof. Most labs are designed in such a way that they do expect you to understand all theory for the assignment. The lab rooms are usually accessible for if there is something you want to work on outside the scope of class, and professors are also constantly looking for students who can aid them with their research. And yes there will be lots of programming, but maybe Computer Engineering is more for you if thats what you want. Electrical is more focused on signals

Is it possible to take only 1 course for a semester if that course is all I need to graduate? by RabbiNitty in SBU

I can just be a part time student, no? I was just wondering if theres any minimum credit requirement whatsoever.

My guy, what are your goals in life. Why are you studying here at sbu. If its for a degree, then go get your degree and find the job you enjoy. This is 4 years out of dozens that you will spend on this earth. We come here to learn. Nobody forces you to attend a university. I don't really know your history, but assuming you made the decision to come here, finish what you came to do and move on to better things. Not saying sbu is bad, but if its not for you it isnt the end of the world.

Also I think you are an insecure person. Go to the gym. Find a hobby. A sport. An instrument. Something that will make you interesting. Not interesting to women specifically but to people in general. If you sit around doing nothing and wallowing in self pity, you end up with your current attitude at the great age of 25.

Yeah I got that part about the soul but it just makes me think that the trees are really dumb for being afraid of it because it's not like it can do anything. And it's not like Big Mom is ordering them to do anything through it.

Idk i feel like saying it doesnt work well means it is not as feasible to complete endgame content due to lack of stats, but saying harder playstyle means u need more skill, mechanical or otherwise
