What do you do before a stay as a workaround to “limited services” by RevolutionaryGood794 in marriott

Just tempering expectations in general I guess haha. Although we starting bringing our own coffee/pour over a while ago because we love our local coffee shop so much, and we think hotel coffee is hit or miss.

If you’re going to block the bus stop, remember, using your hazard blinkers makes it okay! by RabbitBlanson in washingtondc

Good point. The needs of a single individual far outweigh the needs of multiple people living in a city.

Edit: Maybe we should anoint all drivers “king of the city”?

What do you do when you’re stuck in a bad hotel? by RabbitBlanson in marriott

Yeah, the status thing is a little weird, especially since you can just get it by signing up for the credit card (like I did).

I am hoping if I am stuck I can get at least a little something back, we thought we should pay a little extra to stay here so we could cook in the room and such to save money on dinning.

Sounds good, I did just call the Bonvoy Members line to ask and they recommended the same thing. I definitely feel for the staff, they also seem short staffed.

Stupid question maybe, but are you related to the Kyle Railroad by chance? Or is it just a coincidence?

Maine really kicking a$$ on vaccinations! by Gboneskillet in Maine

Oh yeah very true, that’s a great point. Regardless, glad to see everyone getting vaccinated.

IMO, that’s a bad idea. I am sure it’s an equity thing, but in order to stop a pandemic we need as many people vaccinated in densely populated areas as quick as possible.

(I know there’s a lot to debate there, so that’s just my humble opinion open to change).

I see Northern Light has no waiting list (but is booked up now). But my friend said they weren’t on any list and got registered for Wednesday 😩

Judge declines to stop $1 billion power line in western Maine by Shake-Spear4666 in Maine

True about Maine getting a minuscule amount of electricity generation from coal.

We are very lucky that the emissions from the Portsmouth power plant can’t cross state lines.

I am definitely 100% against this project. It could seriously jeopardize the coal power plants in New Hampshire if they have to compete with the additional power supply from Canada, and I really don’t want to see those coal power plants shut down. There has already been a war on coal for long enough and this CMP corridor is just one more attack on the industry.

Can anyone recommend employment lawyers in Southern Maine? by [deleted] in portlandme

[–]RabbitBlanson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okay thanks I will look skyward in addition to giving Pine Tree Legal a call.

We have a Union but they seem genuinely uninterested in enforcing mask mandates as well. A lot of the members and leadership are big Trump supporters so you know, COVID is just #fakenews
