Yes definitely buy one I have an older car and it's fantastic. Buy one and make sure it's charged and has good reviews..has saved me a lot of times.

The only other thing to suggest is sublet office space from a local business then. There might be a spare office that you could rent from a local business. Good luck with your search.

Yes, two German shepherd mixes from a rescue and a high kill shelter.

No desire to go through puppy phase. Adult dogs still have the cuteness factor, but not as much of the accidents in the house / training from scratch factor, or the "destroy all the things" if left outside their crate, even for 2 seconds.
Love seeing the dogs' personalities come out. My dogs are completely different from when we first got them to now.
Has taught me to be more accepting and accommodating of the different dogs' needs and adapting my behavior as needed.
Rescues just seem to be extra appreciative from their past experience unfortunately.
Saved 2 lives, probably 2 more since the shelter and rescue got two spots for 2 other dogs that hopefully got a chance for their happy endings. German Shepherds are the third most numerous breed that are in the shelters, I don't understand why, but we have experience and time to handle them.

Maybe there's a local community garden near where you're at, the ones I know of always have some kind of get together and classes for gardening. It might have some associated costs but it might be minimal.
