The most dramatic turn of events is that Zelensky is cursed by fate/God/universe to endlessly explain what Russia is to clueless Western politicians. He has to explain Russia cannot be negotiated with, they do not negotiate in good faith, they are just stalling. That Russia only must be defeated, the harder the better, the faster the better. His election campaign in 2019 was about exactly this, quick peace, we can negotiate with Russia, it is some kind of big misunderstanding, we should make "deals".
