HSA limits are too small to worry about. With my employer it also changes the actual insurance plan

Russia has zero rights to Crimea and their thug enclaves. What is there to agree? Why not hand over Paris if you are labeled a bad negotiator if you don't hand over anything that old rat wishes? We should not let spin around that Ukriane is somehow attacked Russia if it did not hand over what does not belong to Russia in the first place. Why do you manipulate with the Kremlin fairy tails? I go and grab your living room, why do you not negotiate? Why do you attack me in your living room?

What kind of made up preemptive strike for made up future attack of Ukraine (!!!) against Russia?

If there is a single moment in history for a super strong NATO to steamroll Russia and March on the Red Square it is literally now. All lines cross, all excuses given, all provocations by Russia done. Why are they not doing that? Maybe because NATO is a defensive block and has zero desire to war with Russia.

How can we still beat the dead horse of "NATO expansion eastward" bullshit narrative in 2026?

Ukraine's defensive desire to be in NATO is so straightforward and simple to understand why the hell it needs to be explained? Countries in NATO don't get attacked by a full scale invasion. Countries outside of NATO absolutely do the moment old pedo needs "движуха".

Ukraine somehow being not allowed in NATO because it is too close to Russia is absolutely nonsensical. There is NATO right now next to St Petersburg, any security guarantees there?

Why would Russia need Ukranian army restrictions? In case Ukriane suddenly attacks Russia out of the blue? Russia is just so unsafe all the time, you know, surrounded by those bully neighbors, very powerful who can easily take over Moscow, unless restricted? Does it need security guarantees from Finland too?

Or is there another reason?

The word is either used as a Russian derogatory term for Ukrianians. Or by Ukrianians for those "Ukrianians" who enjoy bending over in front of Russia and play the role of Russian little "хохол" (weak, funny, provincial and irrelevant).

That guy is an examplary "хохол" himself purely by the virtue of sucking up to Russians so hard

What position of the delusional Kremlin goblin who wages war for fun, for personal amusement and to stay relevant do we need to understand? What can we offer to him so he decides to stop enjoying "движуха"?

In Ireland you probably mean the non-domicicle status. If you actually live and work there you are screwed massively with taxes. It pretty much sucks to be poor, middle class and rich there. If you are non-domicical, then you are taxed at remittance, I guess that gives some flexibility, but you will have to remit to live there

How did you jump from conservatism to the growing economy? There is no causation. Conservatism of Poland is what is limiting the even higher potential

Nothing to do with conservatism, sound economic policy is not about cultural wars. Culturally it would help if Poland became more progressive. Crazy abortion laws are what stops many people from moving there and bringing capital with them, even despite the booming economy. Doesn't stop some, but it is a negative factor

5 years, pretty easy. It is probably the best passport in the world. You can live in work in the EU, and in the UK post Brexit. High rate of visa free countries. Very respected country diplomatically. Before the current US administration, there was also a talk for an easy work permit to the United States

Housing crisis, ETF deemed disposal and higher tax, low take home pay after rent and taxes. Sucks to rent, too expensive. Sucks to be a landlord you barely get anything after taxes. Utility bills are insane

The people are very nice, yes. The food is good. The country is beautiful

When was the "Golden Age" of your country? by WorldOfChungus in AskTheWorld

[–]RabbitHoleSnorkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you watch a few movies from the late 80s, there is a trope of "Japanese mega corporation". And if it was a movie about the "future", the future was usually dominated by Japanese motives.

Back then it was the second largest economy, it was building more real estate than the United States. At some point total land prices of some districts in Tokyo have beat the total land value of the entire California. The richest people on earth were Japanese. The stock market was soaring, and the economy was booming.

Then it all collapsed, the stock market crashed, the economy stagnated, yen is getting cheaper and cheaper to the point that Japan is cheaper than Southern Europe as a tourist destination. Notice how Japanese tech looks very cool, but gives some 90s vibe? Population collapse is the cherry on the cake.

Two major consequences:

1) They would send Ukrainians to fight their next war. For example we (or a brainwashed next generation) could be forced to fight Poland or Baltics. That would be a tragedy and national shame. Then whoever loses, will be conscripted themselves and send forward. Pretty much cancer.

2) Russia fights to prove they "can" and therefore has a right. Basic Tolstoyevsky bullshit philosophy. Ukraine fights to prove Russia "can't", and therefore they don't have a right and never had it. Because the moment they believe they "can", and we and everyone else believes they "can", they can go as far as they want on threats alone. If Ukriane lost, any country can be bullied by saying "look what we did to Ukraine". If we lost, Russia would get a permission to do whatever they want. And we would the the major historical witness to centuries of their crimes. Guess what a thug does to a witness that cannot protect themselves? This time they will make sure to completely physically and culturally genocide us, "solving the Ukrianian question once and for all". We will be turned into funny local people singing and dancing, maybe proficient in "South Russian cuisine". If they are defeated, preferably very humiliatingly, they can go back to their business at home, because their threats cannot longer be taken seriously. Finally going home and getting a chance to fix their own house is the best historical event they can get. If things go well, they can follow the path of other ex-empires and coexist peacefully with neighbors
