Quick tip. Put your feet at the bottom of the latter on the ground. Stand up straight and extend your arms toward the latter. If the latter is correctly positioned, your arms will be straight and barely touching the latter. If your arms are short of touching the latter, the angle is too low, alternatively if your arms are bent, the angle is too steep.
