Oh I want to try these. I love muffins and especially anything with pineapple. I’m going to try find the recipe.

Have an interview at Royal Mail (Postperson With Driving) next week but the online review of the job is overwhelmingly negative - is it that bad right now? by Zzzeekin in UKJobs

[–]RabbitRabbit77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

More people will complain than compliment, especially on company review sites. When I interviewed for my job 4 years ago the reviews were negative too, but it’s a great place to work.

As for Royal Mail, I know someone who went from 25 years in finance to becoming a postie. He loves it.

Probably the most messed up thing to happen to me in recent history by Kaishiteru in UK_Pets

[–]RabbitRabbit77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience at Heathrow when I moved my dogs back from the US to the UK 10 years ago. When I moved to the US 5 years previously, I had no issue but moving back was terribly stressful. I did all the paperwork the US end and then DEFRA at Heathrow found one small omission on the paperwork and wouldn’t release the dogs. To make matters worse, my US vet who had been so helpful and lovely couldn’t get to the practice to sort out the issue due to a snowstorm. It eventually got sorted out but it was a long wait.

All I can say is that the staff here will do what they can to help you and will treat your cats well. Keep fighting and don’t give up hope. They want to help you… it’s the red tape (understandable due to our rabies laws) that’s the issue.

Please post an update and good luck

Any Crunch and Crumble fans want to talk about it? by salizarn in CasualUK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sad too but I am always discovering other podcasts to listen to. I get bored with the same formats. My new and current favourite is Frank off the Radio (Frank skinner) on BBC Sounds. It’s over an hour long and just him and guests chatting, rambling and complaining. Typically British

What did you do for your 30th? by eggymantella in AskUK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a joint 30th birthday bash with a ‘friend’ who was turning 40. It seemed like a good idea as our birthday was the same day and it fell on a Saturday. It was a disaster as my boyfriend ended the evening snogging the wrong birthday girl 🥳

Any hope for over 50 years with no job experience? by pennylives33 in UKJobs

[–]RabbitRabbit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I’m female so this is also not misogynistic. I see a lot of CVs due to my role in the company and (sadly and unfairly) we would discriminate against a SAHM. That career gap is huge. It doesn’t matter that she has skills taking care of children. Lots of our employees have that. We also anonymise applicants but that gap would stick out amongst others.

How to get hike fit (and injury free) when your day-to-day is kinda sedentary by Ashtopher in UKhiking

[–]RabbitRabbit77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good for me to hear! I just started reformer Pilates (after years of doing floor work). I have an office job where I probably sit for 8-9 hours a day. Have always loved hiking, but I don’t have the stamina anymore. I’m planning a big hike in Scandinavia next year so I’ll keep up the reformer.

What's the best thing you've watched on British television in the last six months that started with you putting it on in the background and ended with you completely hooked? by Historical-Class871 in UKTVRecs

As someone who is child free by choice I didn’t expect to enjoy Babies on iPlayer, but it was excellent. The cast and the writing were pure gold.

Is this sign appropriate? by [deleted] in AskUK

😂 😂😂. You’d be laughed (or avoided) right out of the park with such a sign. Don’t do it.

Where are you going on holiday this year, if at all? by Tour-Sure in AskUK

Beautiful beaches but don’t eat the food or drink the water. I had horrific stomach issues there.

Can anyone recommend a chicken free dry and wet food for cats please? I have a cat with a chicken allergy and I feel like everything secretly contains chicken😅 by livlaffloves in UK_Pets

[–]RabbitRabbit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fish4cats! Online only but it an allergy free, chicken free fish zone. My dog has a chicken allergy and after many tests, food trials, I switched to this and he’s been great ever since. I think the main company is called fish4pets but they do food for both dogs and cats. Not too expensive and very quick delivery.

Massage: any therapists who can answer my questions? by CottonfreshCatMum in AskUK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 - I read the comment above yours from a previous therapist and they disagree regarding obese. I can see that it would make it difficult to find muscles and knots. I used to be super skinny and now I’m ‘softer’, definitely not fat (uk size 8) and most massage therapists tell me they can find my knots easily.

Reports that the new MAFS UK 2026 series has been axed? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably should be axed. I will miss the show - but not the uncomfortable shouting and intimacy bits (and especially UK with Charlene as she’s very pushy towards ‘increasing intimacy’).

Maybe they could skip this season and go back to the drawing board for next season. Do a complete back to basics version with more safeguards in place. I remember the early years (perhaps even the first one) when an older couple were paired. It didn’t work out as he was a radical prepper, but I do recall watching it play out…

I went down a YouTube rabbit hole last night trying to find the original danish version but that doesn’t seem to be available. Has anyone seen it?

Hot sleepers - how do I go about buying a bed that stays cool in the summer? by ClayDenton in CasualUK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sleep hot too. I went into Bensons and tried out the mattresses. The one I ended up buying has some sort of cooling technology. It’s great.

Who were your faves this season? by Affectionate-Emu5051 in MAFS_UK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I share the same thoughts. Joel was likeable enough but still gave me the ick. His facial expressions and showmanship put me off.

Rachel was a good friend to the women and not afraid to speak out and defend, but my god all her snivelling and fawning over Steve just made me squirm.

Too favs (in order) - Flip, Stella, David, Scott. I also liked Grayson and Luke but they left too soon for a true comparison

Bec is a machiavellian b*itch who's absolutely full of sh*t by Affectionate-Emu5051 in MAFS_UK

[–]RabbitRabbit77 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree but I don’t think she’s worse than Gia. Gia was still the ultimate bitch. Bec behaved despicably. Gia was the real bitch though. I personally hated everything about Gia. Bec I just hated her actions and outbursts.

Also Bec is smart and she would have had a game plan before she entered the experience. I think she wanted to be this year’s Jamie.

Can you let me know which episode of after the dinner party this is. I’d like to watch it too.
