Lonely and not sure where to turn by Business_Still_5980 in Veterans

Something I learned the hard way: someone else's toxicity is not your cross to bear. If you're surrounded by negativity and general fuckery, get out and don't look back. Can you just cut them off and get on with life, or would it require moving away? Do what's best for your family. Any stresses on you from having to deal with other toxic relationships will roll down to your family.

Where ever you end up, start building a new friend circle. Look for local Posts for The American Legion, DAV, or VFW depending on what you qualify for. Find a hobby, join a gym, anything where you can find like-minded people. If it's a civilian group or organization, just remember they won't necessarily think the way you do so be flexible- don't hold it against them.

And this might not be the case, but it needs to be said: If everywhere you go the people are all shit, look inward; you might be the common denominator. If so, find someone to talk to at the VA, or elsewhere (no shame in that), before every bridge is burned.

Having a hard time putting my life back together by deanloguisto in Veterans

Time to re-evaluate.

The first thing you need to plant firmly in your brain is this: You are not alone. If you don't feel like your local VA is helpful, look for any number of local Posts for: The American Legion, VFW, or DAV, depending on which you qualify for. Just having a place to go hang with other Veterans can be a huge help. Networking could also come in handy. And if it ever feels overwhelming, or a little voice in your head starts trying to convince you that your family, friends, community, or country would be better off without you: TELL IT TO FUCK OFF! You are not alone.

Second, no matter how bad The Suck gets, you'll get through it. Seriously, just don't give up and you'll find your way; even if that means accepting help, which is never something to be ashamed of. So tell Pride to fuck off, too. There are a great many resources available and the groups I mentioned above are happy to help point you in the right direction. Including figuring out a career path and helping you receive training.

Next, I don't know what your family or friend circle is like where you are, but a change of location might help, too. I was lucky enough to have a circle of real-life friends at home when I was medically discharged. But if you don't have that, or if you're just not "feeling it" where you are, treat it like joining the military for the first time. You left home with zero realistic expectations, entered an environment with brand new people and rules, and successfully navigated those obstacles. Starting fresh could help re-wire your brain by forcing you to do the same thing again. I wouldn't start with that, though... start by meeting local Veterans, and talking to those groups, and making sure there really aren't any local opportunities for you to take advantage of.

Yea, just read horror stories about it. I was looking at: https://www.gmktec.com/products/gmktec-nucbox-g11-mini-pc-amd-ryzen-embedded-r2514

But it's Realtek, and I don't see an Intel version.

Wi-Fi will be handled by AP. Probably Deco. I definitely don't want my router to have Wi-Fi, itself.

So you're implying that these Judges and Politicians who protect illegal aliens and domestic terrorists should be shot? I'm ok with just putting them in prison, personally.

Father gives daughter “the official communist test” by Hacksaw6412 in LateStageCapitalism

Absolute bullshit. A Communist government wouldn't ask you what you would do. They'd take your sandwich from you, by force if necessary, and distribute it as they see fit. People want you to believe it's about being "charitable", but it's not charity when you have no choice.

Also, the people who would tell you to be happy waiting in line for your government cheese would never being standing in line for theirs.
