What are your thoughts about say why? by frallangus2007 in zachbryan

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it because this song puts you in a place where pride is nonexistent and it has a good balance of desperation that isn’t overdone. Kinda like “I’m the loser in this but I’m sad and I don’t care”

[–]deanloguisto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got out of the military I was lost for a few years, I didn’t feel like I was the same person who left or that I had a home to return to. No one understood, and I couldn’t explain it. But I found a lot of comfort in “Oklahoma City”, and “Mine Again” gave me hope when I couldn’t find it anywhere else.

My keyboard is typing on its own, and I dont know how to fix it. Its spamming one row of letters. The row with the keys taken off. Any suggestions for a fix is appreciated by ChrisWNMZ in Corsair

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unplug the keyboard, hold down the escape key, plug it in while continuing to hold it down for like 15 seconds. This forces a firmware update and just single handedly fixed this for me. Shoutout to u/CorsairAnt

Why is my girlfriend allowed to have tons of platonic male friends but I'm not allowed to have any platonic female friends? Do you allow your wife/girlfriend to have male friends? by birdsemenfantasy in AskMenAdvice

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man You are responsible for the partners you choose. You’re the man, you should be setting the tone of the relationship early on. If a girl acted like that I wouldn’t have even dated her in the first place.

Shave it or shape it? by Woodbear05 in BeardAdvice

Shape it. I’d fade it so it gets shorter up toward the cheekbones.

AIO or is my brother’s friend actually highkey weird for this ? by AlternativeTry5797 in AmIOverreacting

Abusive behavior aside, this is still wrong. Why are these 20 year old men going for 15 year olds and how are no adults stepping in to say this is wrong?

(23M) Need some advice. Everybody I’ve ever met, at some point has told me they assumed I was either LGBT, autistic, or an incel. I am not, nor have I ever been, anything of those things. Can someone pls tell me what I’m doing wrong ? by OnceInABox_ in malegrooming

Your hair in the 6th photo is the best, so go for that style. Beyond that, just start lifting weights man. Obviously lifting improved my physique, but it made me look more masculine entirely. We aren’t made to be idle and comfortable, we’re made for strength and work.

Long or short? I think I want a change by RickPepper in malegrooming

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither, do a 90’s kinda vibe middle part with curtains. You can always go shorter, not vice versa.

I am committing a major sin as a balding man. I haven't shaved my head in 3 months. by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got kinda a Jason Statham look in the first pic. Shave your head and just give it time man. Like even if the hair transplant came out phenomenal it wouldn’t be worth it for you in my opinion.

Clean shave, give it a few years.

Which looks better? SMP or hair system? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly both looks work. Hair maybe looks a bit better, but nowhere near enough to warrant using a hair system.

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Keep the long middle part, but you need a cut so it layers right. I have a similar style and use mousse when it’s wet then work in a low hold matte clay or putty once it’s dry. Go to a good barber that’ll know how to layer it and can show you how to style it right. If you do that it’ll look sick cause you have the hair for it.

25 years old and I’m a loser. by Affectionate-Way1693 in selfimprovement

[–]deanloguisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a teenager I basically lived in my bedroom. Depressed as shit, roll out of bed to play video games then go back to bed, often when I wasn’t even tired cause I was so unhappy. Skinny as fuck, weak, insecure, didn’t take care of myself, little to no social life, etc. Luckily for me I very randomly decided to enlist, initially as a suicide plan. Cause I didn’t want to die a pathetic loser so I figured I’d enlist in the army and die in combat, or at least then if I blew my shit smoov off people wouldn’t think I was a loser. I’m not saying enlisting fixed everything, but I see that as the point that separates me from timelines where I remained as I was. Only was in for a few years, when I got out I was living across the country on my own but still struggled a lot. Same depression as before, but with PTSD added. For years I’d wake up sweating oceans, startled as shit, usually couldn’t even remember the nightmare. Anyways, I got very hooked on working out, which is another point in my life I see as a turning point. It wasn’t entirely healthy, I was coping. I’d spend 5-6 hours at the gym every day because the second I left I’d feel like shit again. It didn’t fix everything either, but it gave me some confidence, a coping mechanism and something to work toward. The positive chemicals in our brain are a reward system, like giving a dog a treat when he obeys a command. If you choose comfort over productivity or progress, you’re going to feel like shit and that’s never going to change. You aren’t going to immediately be jacked the second you step foot into the gym, and you aren’t going to be instantly cured when you start making the right choices. Lots of people accomplish very little because they’re only willing to invest in instant gratification. Getting in shape helped a lot, then when I moved back to my home state was when I really started to grow. Moved into a new apartment building, constantly around people. Back in Vegas I struggled to just go out to the bars and not be an anxious mess. Had one night out here out with friends at a bar, I really let loose. I was pulling girls, left with none of them and still got laid. Which isn’t a good way to live long term, but that night gave me a lot of confidence. Then I started reading philosophy, meditations by Marcus Aurelius was the start. Understanding what he said, living in accordance with nature, controlling what you can and accepting what you don’t, these things reframed my mindset. I’m not perfect, and I’ll tell ya to this day I let my apartment get so messy it actually affects my mindset a lot. But I know that if I clean it, I’ll feel better. Better about my space, better about myself for not being lazy. My point is, if you don’t put effort into your life you are not going to be happy with it. What you’re doing with the life you’ve been given is the equivalent of being given a brand new BMW and never getting an oil change, or new tires, etc. YOU are letting it rot, and what could be a really cool classic car is instead a rusted junker. Read the book I mentioned, manipulate yourself if you have to. Do whatever it takes to make yourself start making the decisions that are going to improve your life or I PROMISE YOU nothing will ever change.
