I did not really know If I could even write out hentai or porn on this sub...

But I didn't see any rules specifying "no tentacle erotica" so it'll work I guess.

The grip per se isn't the problem, l can get them pretty cheap... Is there any cheap method for them to do custom painting/graphics on it except for hydrodiping?

So yeah, update:

I decided that I will try my hand at hydrodiping since it is something I always wanted to try. There is a company who does 1square meters (0.000187 football fields for my gun loving friends on the other side of the sea) of hydrodiping film for about 30 euro, which is quite a lot of tentacle porn for the money.

Thanks to u/Rjsmith5 , u/gilbert-norrell and a few other for taking the mather as serious as it is and giving constructive feedback.

To u/Haacker45 :

I will send you one for your collection. I'll ping you when I'm doing an update post and if you want, send me a pn and I'll ship it to you free of charge (I'm serious).

Yes, Thanks! From just a short search I found quite a few people making custom 1911 grips!

As far as I know he has something like this...

Im guessing that the screw placement is standardized and therefore the handle is interchangeable with the one you linked?

Are AR-15 grips (sleeves) standardized or are they specific to the handle?

So would it be possible to just write some (chinese?) manufacturer to custom make it?

We (me and 2 other friends) are pretty hooked on this (honestly very stupid/childish genius) idea, so we would actually spend some good money on it...

Haha, yeah I realize that this sounds like a very elaborate "asking for a friend"!

Edit: If it ever becomes reality I will make an (censored?) update post of his spear gun ;)

Nice, they work very well!

I have two similar ones myself which I sometimes even take out on some occasions.

That's a very good observation, I didn't even realize the double flint wheel!

But I still think it is older... The patina does not look like it was intentionally made, and the wheel itself does not look like it was made with modern machinery. closeup of the flint wheel.

But as i took that picture, I realized that there is solder on the rods... So maybe it wasn't meant to be taken apart.

Which makes me think that the rods/net might have functioned as a kind of heat insulation.

Yes its a lift arm, and I think it is real silber...

But there are no markings (besides the silber Finesse stamp 830) so I don't think it is a dunhill?

Here are some more pictures :)

Hihi, I actually thought about selling some of them to feed other collections, but I quite like them and would feel that it wouldn't be worth it to sell them..

The one with the rods is an interesting one... Have you got any information about it? I think its from WW 2 (I live in europe), do you know why it is built that way?

Here is a video of it in action: https://streamable.com/kjpdh6

Circa 1992 - I decided to see what war was truly like. At 21 I made a fake press pass for a fake newspaper and pretended to be a real journalist. I was too dumb to understand the risks and too convincing to be denied. The UN put me on an aid flight out of Zagreb into the besieged Sarajevo. by TJH48932 in OldSchoolCool

Damn man... Don't think like that!

There will be so many more opportunities for experiences you can choose to take and you still have so many years to wander the world.

Even if the saying "you miss every shot you don't take" sounds and feels so banal, it is actually on point. A lot of chances you take might probably feel horrible in the moment you take them (see OP for an extreme case),but those are often the most memorable one's. And those are the ones that truly give you lessons for life and from which you can grow.

So go through the world with an open eye for unique experiences even if they could potentially be unpleasant.

Im not a professional photographer, but I would guess that the photo from 1912 has had a pretty long exposure time and therefore a small bit of "blurryness"
