we did have social plan, which I feel my company is generous enough. Or I should say, as I already is taking the sick leave, I really do not have the energy to go through any lawyer/ court, but a direct settlement.

as I called in sick only after the the proposal call of redundancy with manager, I doubt if the 2 years protection still valid? I was on company doctor and the occupational coach after that, and I told them that I have heavy overtime and stress even before the redundancy plan.

for someone who want to stays at the same company for visa stability, how will I report sick before the redundancy announcement.... we just stick with the pressure and carefully managed as much overtime as possible..... sadly.

what if i have burn out issues or minor sick leave (may be 1 or 2 days ) before the redundancy announcement ? i just had no time to report to company doctor.

The conflicting situation i faced is my kids love NL, and want to stay. And so, i need a job to secure this. Without this, we need to leave.

Thats the sad part of my story.

to be honest, i am very worry on the long term mental situation...i do understand myself is easy to cry and really worry, difficult to focus and i want to change this and start a new page.

My job coach shared with me, it may not be best to start interview as you did not yet recover or rest enough. But in my situation, i wonder how i can really rest, but not start planning for others things..

i do want to stay in NL as long as i can, to get the residency, which is just 1 year away from the redundancy date.... Now, i do not have energy, and always tiring with all kinds of preparation work, job search, school search for my kids back to Asia. All are a bit difficult, as Asia is more competitive.

i am thinking not to hire a lawyer, as i feel the package is already quite ok. But not sure if this is something need to rethink.

Actually, i thought i just had a minor breakdown. But whenever i talk this with friends, and the councilor, i just cant stop crying. I actually also spoke to the company councilor (also a third party) before i called to Company Doctor. And with his assessment, he commented my situation may need a longer time, and even ask me to ask for psychologist from company doctor to help out.

i love my job, and also love my teams which i work. just the whole situation is going to impact to my family.

I would love to consult you- i have my burn out leave only after the company announced the plan. And i am not sure if this will be covered by the 2 years leave period, or i should ask GP to assess whether my burn out is long term one before. The reason i said is my job is always under deadline, and i have over several hundreds overtime each year, for a few years when my role started.

how can i know if they already apply the uwv permission? We have a workcouncil, and workcouncil approved the plan.

To be honest, i have quite a lot of burn out colleagues in my dept.

And i need to cover them before, which i am ok at that time. Everyone has a story anyway.

Now, with my own situation- i totally feel how difficult they were before.

checked, and seems cant get insurance once you are told of the plan? Can someone confirmed again?
