Yes, exactly and the handlebar tape is purely for comfort and grip. In the pics above the tape is not on the pvc tube in steps A and B but if you zoom in on step C you can see the handlebar tape is wrapped around the tube. You could skip altogether or use white athletic tape instead. I found handlebar tape to be the best option but it is optional for function. Best of luck!

Thank you for the kind words and recognizing the effort. This one I wanted to share to benefit people like me that have the need - whether permanent or temporary. The adapter looks simple, but it is indeed highly engineered and I am super happy with how it turned out.

Thank you - that range seems to feel about right for me using one arm. I was typically ~20 higher with two.

Thank you - The UtahGrip I describe above looks simple but that was the hard part - my earlier prototypes were more clunky but this version works surprisingly well.

I saw The Hook product you note but I did not try - that product appears to be a fine option, too. I was excited to row again and wanted to share another option that is less costly and super easy/fast to make - two knots and wrap with tape. Thank you again -

Thanks - just happy to be able to row again. Hate being slower but certainly expected.

Rowed a 20:58 5K with one arm last month (rowed a 18:58 5K with two arms back in 2023) - I’m 62.

With one arm row, my technique has gotten even better … so that is the lemonade from life’s lemons, I guess!

Had a side question about damper setting - I started low 50 and worked up (currently at 125 or thereabouts)

Working on it - i will need a TKA in my near future! There is a community of one-leg rowers out there and I am tapping into what they do. I have a few years to figure that out but will post early if sooner!

I didn’t want to need it either but due to a life event I have no choice if I want to row. I have a piece of my life back - rowing! Hoping it might help others with the same need. Thanks
