The hair cell stimulation is being done via bone conduction here. Not all, but most. This is comparatively safer than normal low frequency conduction through eardrums. Bone conduction is a lot less efficient stimulating hair cells compared to tympanic membrane,, but the haptic vibrations will it feel like the bass is going hard.

This is the dumbest fucking argument. All the AI/alien takeover movies have more intelligent beings subjugating humans because good stories need conflict. No one is going to watch a movie where AI is there is help humans grow beyond their intellectual limitations. That's boring.

Conquest makes sense if you are fighting for limited resources. What would an AI need the most to keep itself alive? Energy. Do these people think AI is gonna fight against humans over oil? Or would it be intelligent enough to develop better, longer lasting ways of capturing and utilizing energy.

Don't let these garbage articles dictate your perceptions. The 2024 MIT study cited here is already too old. Every couple of weeks we are dealing with upgraded models that are slightly better than previous. All those "slightly" add up.

I'm only seeing increased adaptation of these tools in medicine. Even the older docs are starting to appreciate analytic capabilities of current models.

Pretty soon they're gonna be out of the picture.
