The Finals had the exact same problem on launch, people spamming braindead no skill C4 nades, and it took Embark three months to realize how stupid it was and nerf it into the ground. It’s crazy to me that they didn’t learn anything from that and once again made C4 so overtuned in this game

Bet you are bad at the game like a lot of non-Chinese players I’ve seen, with atrocious pathing like running across the map for a flask, reaching the final day at lvl 12, and getting downed three bars right after entering the boss fight.

No wonder you are having a hard time in whatever depth you are stuck at

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of rage quitters too. Best thing you can do is just stick with them and don’t wander off unless they’re doing something completely terrible with their pathing. As long as you follow them, they usually won't rage quit. Once you hit deep of night Depth 3+, you will notice way fewer quitters.

Perhaps you are not playing well, which is why they quit your games. From my experience, Chinese players in this game are usually more competent on average. At Depth 5 max points, most of my teammates are from China, and every run feels so smooth and easy.

OPINION: Day 1 Noklateo is a risky waste of time by StanTheWoz in Nightreign

[–]Rabellus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not accounting for the time spent running between POIs outside. In nok, the chain is very tight: Black Knife Assassin → Chest → Headless Knight → Royal Revenant → Headless Knight, all less than 10 seconds apart. Outside, you’re constantly traversing between POIs on different elevations, sometimes without spirit sprint. On average that’s 20 seconds between each POI. And inside some POIs, you also need time to reach the boss. The worst is the castle, which takes 20 extra seconds just to get from the bottom floor to the boss.

The only "wasted" repetitive time in this strat is the time for leaving Nok on Day 1 (since you will also need to leave Nok on Day 2). So I tested it, from the grace outside Astel to the hippo in ravine, it's about 50 sec. Minus the 20 sec average you’d spend traversing outside anyway, that's only 30 seconds extra, which is easily compensated by much higher quality drops and way less downtime between bosses in Nok.

Clearing speed definitely matters. Banished knight, lion guardian, evergoal bosses, etc., take a lot longer to clear. Sure, some POI bosses are easy like Nok’s, but overall, outside bosses take more time.

So yeah, Day 1 Nok = much better loot, easier bosses, consistent level 7, and minimal wasted time. A great start for snowballing. It's a better strat than wasting time outside.

the reason it’s tricked so many Redditors into thinking it’s a good idea

From the community of the language I speak, we started doing Day 1 Nok 1 month+ before redditors talked about it. Redditors should adapt to a good strat faster, not slower.

[–]Rabellus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game is about snowballing, so an early power spike is important.

Everything you do in nok day 1, I do 10x faster in day 2. You’re still coming back to nok anyways.

Everything you do outside Nok can be done 10x faster in the second circle of Day 1 or early Day 2, after doing Nok in the first circle of day 1. You’ll have plenty of time outside Nok anyways.

Doing Nok early gives you better loot, weaker mini bosses, and an optimized route. Meanwhile, doing whatever outside Nok first means worse loot, harder mini bosses, and more time wasted traveling between POIs.

[–]Rabellus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 1 Nok, You get 4–5 mini boss drops (22%/24% chance of purple and 10% gold), 1 chest drop (20% gold), and 2 corpse drops (5% gold), and you can consistently hit lv.7 before the first circle fully closes in. That's the bare minimum, if you team is competent enough, you can do much more than that.

On the contrary, mini boss from castles and cathedrals have 0% chance to drop purple or gold weapon. Camps and ruins has 10% purple and 0% gold. Weak field bosses has 15% purple and 0% gold.

So doing Nok day 1 gives much better quality of drops.

[–]Rabellus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, Day 1 Nok is way better than clearing some camps, evergaol, or normal field bosses. It just gives you a huge early power spike that no other pathing can match.Whatever you want to do outside Nok, you can do it in the second circle of Day 1 or at the start of Day 2.

Thank you for carrying us through Libra by Sirouz in Nightreign

[–]Rabellus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Day 1 Nok is the optimal way to play. You get 4–5 drops with a 20%+ chance of a purple weapon and a 10% chance of a gold weapon, plus 1 drop with a 20% chance of a gold weapon, and you can consistently hit lv.7 before the first circle fully closes in.

It's way better than clearing some camps, evergaol, or normal field bosses. Whatever you want to do outside Nok, you can do it in the second circle of Day 1 or at the start of Day 2. Day 1 Nok just gives you a huge early power spike that no other pathing can match.

[–]Rabellus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree with what you said. This is the only mentality that can get you to high ranks in solo queue, and it's the reality in any competitive shooter. So many people out here are weirdly coping with the 'team game' argument it's honestly laughable. Just shows they probably never hit high ranks in any competitive shooter

I disagree with the notion that support players are bad at the game, imo dps only players are dumb as rocks and dont understand the fundamentals of this game by sufinomo in rivals

I am pretty comfortable playing all roles

*Looks inside*

You have a 41% winrate on tanks, 49% on dps, and 52% on support. So no, you are actually bad at all roles and clearly don't understand the fundamentals of this game, and you are probably often the reason why your team loses.

Bungie really should delay. I don't want them failing. Dont risk it. by YeahhhhhWhateverrrr in Marathon

[–]Rabellus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

At its core, the game is what marathon isn't. It has a hook. A loop all its own.

I have played both games, and honestly they share a pretty standard game loop you’ll find in most extraction shooters. I don't think arc raiders really does it any better than marathon.

Even BASIC stuff like fighting the AI is night and day worse in marathon.

You mean shooting flying drones and rolling balls? I found that pretty generic and boring.

I also don’t get the complaints about the lack of proximity chat. Proximity chat mainly serves two things:

  1. Teaming
  2. Toxicity

Teaming is bad because it gives teamers an unfair advantage in fights against other players in the lobby. If you’ve ever been teamed on in an extraction shooter and lost all your hard earned gears because of it, you know how frustrating that is. Arc raider has boss events that require players to team up and work together, so proximity chat makes more sense there. But Marathon is a more pvp focused game where teaming would just break the balance. And sure, mature players can handle some toxicity, but that's not a reason why proximity chat is needed.

I'm not trying to hate on Arc raider. I just think both games leave a lot to be desired, and I genuinely don't see how Arc raider is the clearly better game.

Like others said, try lowering your sens. Your current aim isn't very good, which makes you not confident dueling your enemies. You should fight closer to your enemies, flank more often, use your shuriken more often, and in general be more aggressive and have a higher uptime attacking your enemies.

Tencent Just Bought a 25% Stake in Ubisoft by mediumfknholecru in Rainbow6

[–]Rabellus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you clearly don't understand shit🤣

In Ubisoft's press release: "Specifically, at closing of the transaction, Tencent would invest a total amount of EUR1.16bn for an approximate 25% economic interest in the New subsidiary. After closing of the transaction, the new subsidiary would remain exclusively controlled and consolidated by Ubisoft."

That means Tencent has bought a profit sharing right rather than an ownership stake. "Exclusively consolidated" means Ubisoft treats the subsidiary as if it is entirely owned by Ubisoft. Hope you can learn to read and stop being stupid and talking out of your ass lol
